The world of Teyvat has been key to making Genshin Impact so appealing, with its size growing steadily over time. From four-leaf sigils to underwater content, the game’s open world keeps expanding with each new region. Natlan will carry on this trend with its Saurians.

The Natlan players will experience in Version 5.0 is just the beginning. Three expansions are planned through Version 6.0. A large volcanic area will be added in Version 5.1, followed by the ruins of old Natlan in 5.2. The final expansion, expected in either Version 5.5 or 5.7, will complete the region.

Genshin Impact Natlan

Much of the information about Natlan's expansion comes from the leaker known as Uncle Teyvat. Based on the incomplete map in Version 5.0, they've overlaid the upcoming terrain for Versions 5.1 and 5.2. The volcano will extend Natlan southwest, while the ruins will be northwest of the main arena. In terms of scale, Natlan is predicted to be similar in size to Sumeru, as players will use Saurians for rapid travel.

Natlan is a melting pot of six distinct tribes. Players will immerse themselves in their unique cultures as they explore. The Dendro, Geo, and Hydro tribes will be introduced in Version 5.0. Version 5.1 will spotlight the Pyro and Anemo tribes, known for their mountainous lifestyle. The final tribe, Electro, will debut in Version 5.2, granting the Traveler their ultimate Saurian form. Interestingly, while these tribes are linked to elements, their members don't necessarily share the same elemental affinity.

The Mare Jivari, a desolate region west of Teyvat, is a prime candidate for Natlan's final expansion. This barren land, technically part of Natlan, could be the setting for Version 5.5 or later. However, rumors persist about a Mondstadt expansion acting as a bridge to Snezhnaya, the upcoming Cryo nation.
