Unlike the flashy reactions of Pyro or Cryo, Geo is an element that does not focus on damage. Its reactions are purely defensive, and even its elemental resonance is also tied to shields. However, Geo characters can definitely become great DPS, with builds that focus on dealing Phys and Geo damage. SS tier

Arataki Itto

Being one of the most underrated characters in Genshin Impact, Itto can only work in a Geo team. However, if you have the right teammates to accompany him, the character becomes an unstoppable force amongst Genshin Impact best DPS. Itto has a high base CRIT Rate, which makes his builds much easier.

Itto Weapon — Itto can deal a massive amount of damage with his Charged attacks alone.

His abilities work really well together, with Elemental Skill taunting enemies and Elemental Burst increasing overall DPS. Itto mainly deals damage using his Charged attacks, which are enhanced by Superstrength stacks from Normal attacks and Elemental Skill.

As he has a high energy cost Burst and requires setup for his Charged attacks, players need to have at least Gorou to bring out his full potential. Albedo or Zhongli are also good additions. The best weapon for Itto is the Redhorn Stonethresher, which increases DEF alongside Normal and Charged Attack DMG.

Zhongli

Zhongli is the best Shielder in the game and also one of the most powerful characters lore-wise. His tough shield can withstand all types of enemy attacks, allowing players to get away with any type of squishy lineup. Furthermore, he is no slouch when it comes to dealing high damage. Zhongli can dish out huge AoE Geo damage with his Elemental Burst, which also inflicts Petrify.

Players can also build Zhongli as a normal DPS attacker with team support and the appropriate gear.

Albedo

Overall, Albedo is a great addition to a lot of teams. He can serve as a battery and sub DPS, providing large AoE of Supplemental Geo DMG. His elemental skill has one of the lowest cooldowns in the game at only 4s.

His burst is also an excellent support skill, providing an additional 125 Elemental Mastery, allowing teammates to deal more damage with reactions. The best part about Albedo is that he scales based on DEF %, which means building artifacts for him is not that hard.

S tier

Yun Jin

Yun Jin is the newest Geo Polearm character in the game, released alongside Shenhe. She excels at empowering DPS characters that rely on their normal attacks, which is a fairly rare build. Yun Jin's kit is fairly easy to use, with her Elemental Skill generating a decent amount of elemental particles for her low-cost Burst.

She can rise to S tier at C2, with her Burst gaining another extra buff for normal attack damage.

Gorou

Gorou is the first Geo bow user in Genshin Impact. Overall, he is a good Geo support that boosts other Geo characters in the team. He can also deal damage that scales on his Defense through his Elemental Burst, however, it has a high energy cost. Exploration-wise, Gorou is one of the best, as his skill displays Inazuma specialties on the minimap.

Overall, Gorou would be the main support if you are building a Geo squad. His ability to boost Defense and Geo DMG bonus make him very useful when used with Defense scaling Geo Characters. If players are building any team with a Geo character as main DPS, having Gorou is a must.

A tier

Noelle

Genshin Impact is not a hard game, and because of that, jack of all trades like Noelle do not have the chance to shine that much. Despite the fact that Noelle can do almost everything from shielding to healing and damage, she's just average even with the best builds.

Furthermore, she only becomes viable as a main DPS after C6, and even then, good artifact sets are required. This is why Noelle is a bit low on this Geo characters Genshin Impact tier list.

Ningguang

Ningguang is a powerful Geo DPS character in Genshin Impact, with high elemental burst damage and powerful protection against ranged attacks. She is also pretty good at dealing damage normally, especially after you get familiar with using her clunky charged attack.

When it comes to supporting, Ningguang can also increase the team's Geo DMG with her Jade Screen. Similar to Noelle, she gains a powerful DPS boost at C6, gaining 7 Star Jades after Burst,

B tier

Traveler (Geo)

Overall, Geo Traveler is just someone you substitute into a slot if you don't have the right support for that particular element. They can serve as a battery and sub DPS for the team as their spammable Elemental Skill gives 2 energies per hit.

Aether Traveler Sword — Geo MC is a useful alternate if you need Geo resonance and energy regeneration.

Players can put Geo MC into any team composition since their skill sets are very versatile. They work especially better with other Geo characters. The best part about the Traveler is that you get all 6 constellations for free.
