Tower of Fantasy is a new "shared open-world RPG" from Hotta and Level Infinite, and the biggest challenger to Genshin so far. The game has been in the Chinese market for quite some time now and will be released later this year on Global Servers.

1. What is Tower of Fantasy Release date?
The Steam version of Tower of Fantasy is going to come out in Q4, 2022. As previous reports indicate the second half of the year and Q3, it is possible that they are aiming for an earlier mobile release. For the game to success, the steam and mobile versions need to have cross-play and cross-save. The second closed beta for the game on mobile has just ended very recently on June 26.
Gameplay-wise, Tower of Fantasy is similar to a traditional MMO with a gacha system. Overall, players can expect something that looks and feels similar to Genshin Impact, but with a larger focus on multiplayer aspects such as player interactions. The co-op would be a big focus, with players diving into the vast world of Aida, clearing domains and defeating bosses with the help of other people. Each character comes in the form of a weapon, and you can have up to 3 different weapons at the same time.
