Kuki Shinobu had been among the top underrated characters before the official release of the Dendro element. After this release, she became a Tier-S character who is widely preferred in Genshin Impact. Check out the reason and how to build this character here.
Table of Contents
#1. Shinobu At First Release
The Spiral Abyss pick rate of Kuki Shinobu in her early time in Genshin Impact is pretty moderate. As calculated, her pick rate in Spiral Abyss 2.8 is only 0.9%. A lot of players thought Shinobu's kits and status were not necessary, so lots of players skipped her banner.
Luckily, the release of the Dendro element makes Elemental Mastery became an important indicator in the new meta of Genshin Impact. A lot of underrated weapons, and artifacts became hot items to obtain. Similarly, many underrated characters have emerged as the top-picked units, including Kuki Shinobu.
#2. Shinobu After Dendro Release
After the Dendro element's release, Shinobu became hotter and more welcomed after update 3.0. She has been rated as a Tier-S character because her kit is simple to master. You only need to apply enough Dendro and Hydro auras before activating her Grass Ring of Sanctification. Then, your team can trigger continual elemental reactions, such as Bloom and Hyperbloom.
#3. Kuki Shinobu Meta Build
Bloom and Hyperbloom are the two best teams for Shinobu. She can play as a sub-DPS and trigger continuous reactions. Check out the most recommended build for players to take advantage of this Tier-S character.
There are many weapon and artifact options to make Kuki Shinobu a metacharacter of the game, such as:
- Toukabou Shigure
- Iron Sting
- Freedom-Sworn
- Key of Khaj-Nisut (less recommended)
You should focus on the Elemental Mastery (EM) indicator by using the Gilded Dream artifact set and The Leaves of Enlightening Speech - the elemental burst of Nahida. You should build around 800 EM for Kuki Shinobu in the Hyperbloom team.
Energy Recharge (ER) is also an important indicator that you should build for Shinobu in the Hyperbloom team with Nahida and Xingqiu. If you have a well-built Xingqiu, you should build Nahida with around 120ER and Shinobu with 120ER.
Shinobu does not require a high constellation level in this Hyperbloom team. Shinobu C0 still plays well. If you want to optimize her power and make the team stronger, Shinobu C2 is an ideal status.
#4. Tips For Shinobu Hyperbloom
With these recommended building options, you will have a strong Shinobu for your Hyperbloom team. But it does not mean that she does not have any weak points. But you can remove them if you understand them.
- Her HP indicator is not high when you focus on EM. So, the last slot in the Nahida - Xingqiu - Shinobu team should be a healer, such as Barbara, Jean, and Kokomi.
- If you do not have Nahida, it's hard to build a strong Hyperbloom team for Shinobu. That's why Nahida - Xingqiu - Shinobu team is always the best team comp for this character.
- The number of artifacts with EM buff is pretty limited. Therefore, Shinobu can be pretty weak in the early days.
- Sometimes, 4-star units are rarer than 5-star characters. Therefore, you may miss this character for several banners.
Shinobu's Hyperbloom team is the best team for Spiral Abyss. Try to get and build this Electro sub-DPS for this team to clear Spiral Abyss quickly.
