Many gamers in the Asia region have probably heard of the communication app on mobile called LINE, which first originated in Japan. On the other hand, its gaming platform, LINE Games, was not so successful for several reasons, one of which being having no hit games.

That should change soon, since LINE Games has scheduled to release a wide variety of games in 2019, which span across both mobile and PC.

Mobile Games

Exos Heroes

This is a hero collection RPG from developer OOZOO, which promises to bring high-quality 3D graphics, over 200 heroes, and several gameplay modes.

Ravenix: The Card Master

Also coming from OOZOO, Ravenix: The Card Master is a trading card game on mobile. LINE Games has said that the game will consist of 3 main pillars: “Management”, “Simulation”, and “Analysis”. There are more than 200 cards as well as 3 starting classes, so players will be able to build their own deck and strategies before competing against each other in 1v1 matches. Developer OOZOO also says that there will be no such thing as “luck” in Ravenix: The Card Master, it is all about skills and strategies. The game will also have PVE content as well.

Dark Summoners

Dark Summoners is a real-time strategy game developed by SkeinGlobe. According to LINE Games, this title will allow players to truly immerse in the heat of battle with a clearer view while taking direct controls of the characters. Besides playing PVP modes, players can also team up with 2 others and participate in PvE raid. More details about this game will be coming in the near future.

Project PK

A product of game studio Rock Square, Project PK is an action-adventure RPG, Project PK. It is reportedly going to be a “high-end” action game that revolves around surviving countless encounters with enemies and monsters, and exploring the game world. A crucial part of the game is choosing the right weapons when facing different enemies. The game is made using Unreal Engine 4, so players can expect satisfying combats with improved physics.

Super String

Super String from developer Factorial Game is a 3D RPG based on 15 different webtoons (A type of Korean comics). The game’s creator calls it the “Asian version of Avengers”, because it features tons of popular webtoon characters.

In term of gameplay Super String uses a turn-based combat system. The player will take the role of the “commander-in-chief” to control the units.

PC Games

Project NM

The announcement of Project NM for PC is undoubtedly a surprise, given that LINE Games is a company that operates primarily in the mobile industry. This product of studio Space Dive is supposedly a third person shooter game with a touch of RPG. There is not a lot of information about this mysterious Project yet, so stay tuned for more updates.

Project NL

Project NL from MeerKat Games is a new survival MOBA game. It combines the best elements of both genres. There will be up to 100 players on the battlefield at the same time, and features such as finding weapons, crafting tools, and cooking food, will all be there.  The game also puts a strong emphasis on strategically using the environment to your advantage. Project NL will be released on both mobile and Steam in 2019.

Uncharted Waters Origin

This huge game is a joint product of LINE Games and Koei Tecmo, the Japanese company that is currently holding the intellectual property of the Uncharted Waters series. Uncharted Waters Origin is said to include more than 1,000 NPC to interact with, 200 ports to explore, and over 1,000 items to collect. It is scheduled to come out in 2020 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Uncharted Waters franchise. This massive MMORPG will be available on both PC and mobile as well.
