Genshin Impact 4.3 is releasing two new artifact sets: Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods, and Song of Days Past. Which is the best way can you use these sets? See Song of Days Past and Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods best characters as well as how they work below.

1. Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods artifact set

1.1. Nighttime Whispers of the Echoing Woods effects

The new artifact set in Genshin Impact 4.3 has the following set bonus effects:

  • 2-piece: ATK +18%
  • 4-piece: Increases Geo DMG Bonus by 20% for 10s after using the Elemental Skill. In addition, gaining a shield from the Crystalize reaction will increase this effect by 150%. The buff will disappear one second after the shield is lost.

Nighttime Whispers of the Echoing Woods is all about making Geo characters stronger. When they pick up a Crystallize fragment, it boosts their damage by up to 50%. This is great for DPS Geo characters and Geo units that don't depend on DEF.

1.2. Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods best characters

Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods best characters.

Navia

The Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods is the top choice for Navia's artifact. It gives her ATK and Geo DMG Bonus, which aligns perfectly with what the president of Spina di Rosula needs. Since Navia focuses a lot on the Crystallize reaction and Elemental Shards, this artifact complements her playstyle perfectly.

Ningguang

Ningguang is also one of the best characters for Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods.

This artifact suits her playstyle, especially since she needs to cast her Elemental Skill at the start of a battle. Being a Catalyst unit, she can effortlessly trigger the Crystallize reaction and create Elemental Shards.

Zhongli

While the Geo Archon is typically used for defense style, you can opt for a Burst support approach with this set. Zhongli can efficiently activate Crystallize using his pillars and swiftly release a massive meteor at your target's location once you grab a crystal, maximizing damage. Though Retracing Bolide remains superior for many teams, this set is a viable and enjoyable alternative for Zhongli.

2. Song of Days Past artifact set

Recently released Song of Days Past artifact set.

2.1. Song of Days Past effects

  • 2-piece: +15% Healing Bonus.
  • 4-piece: Creates the Yearning effect for 6s when the user heals another character – which records the total amount of healing provided (including overflow healing). When the duration expires, the Yearning effect will be transformed into the Waves of Days Past effect: When your active party member hits an opponent with an attack, the DMG dealt will be increased by 8% of the total healing amount recorded by the Yearning effect.

One Yearning effect can heal up to 15,000 points in a single instance.

2.2. Song of Days Past best characters

Which is the best character for Songs of Days Past artifacts? See how you can equip this free-to-get set in update 4.3.

Kokomi

Kokomi is a top-tier healer in Genshin Impact. And the recently introduced Song of Days Past offers a solid choice for her artifact set.

It may not be the best choice, but it brings a valuable buff to the team. Kokomi's Elemental Skill packs a punch in the healing department, making it a breeze to stack up those healing benefits. Plus, when she unleashes her Elemental Burst, the stacking process gets an extra boost.

Baizhu

Another best character for Song of Days Past is Baizhu. He has gained even more recognition as an excellent healer, especially with the arrival of Furina in Genshin Impact.

Using him with a complete 4-piece set of Song of Days Past is a wise move, as it enhances his healing and support prowess. However, it's worth noting that Deepwood Memories remains the superior choice over Song of Days Past for Baizhu in Dendro team compositions.

Baizhu and Kokomi are best characters for Song of Days Past.

Yaoyao

Yaoyao proves to be a valuable Dendro support unit, excelling in both healing and dealing decent DMG to enemies. Her Elemental Skill and Burst contribute to party member healing, and she can easily gain stacks. It's worth noting, though, that Yaoyao's skill only heals when a character's HP is below 70%. This might make triggering the effect a bit challenging sometimes.

Barbara

Barbara is a solid candidate for the new artifact set in Genshin Impact. Her Elemental Skill can effortlessly create stacks even when she's not active.

However, it's important to note that her skill has a lengthy cooldown. This may limit the frequency of triggering the buffs from the 4-piece set. Consequently, while the artifact works decently for Barbara, it's not recommended to farm it if she's already equipped with a solid set.
