Just yesterday, we reported on the English trailer of Attack On Titan TACTICS – a base defense game based on Attack on Titan. Now, developer Oasis Games has also launched One Punch Man: Road To Hero on the App Store, continuing the trend of releasing mobile games based on popular anime series.

The game was originally announced back in June alongside a pre-registration campaign, which according to the developer attracted over 200,000 participants. Back then, though, the release date was listed as September 16th, so the launch today came as somewhat of a surprise to it. Maybe that was only a placeholder date, or maybe Oasis wrapped up the game a bit earlier than expected. Whatever the case might be, One Punch Man: Road To Hero is now available on the App Store for iOS users, with an Android version promised to arrive in the near future. Check out the trailer for the game below:

As you can expect from a game made with assets from a popular IP, there is quite a lot of fan service here. One Punch Man: Road To Hero is made in partnership with original series creator Isamu Tsukuru aka ONE, featuring the original art from Yusuke Murata himself. Many voice actors from the anime also make a return as well.

You'll get to meet many familiar characters from the anime

And of course, you will be able to recruit over 50 familiar characters to form the best team possible and engage in thrilling battles against powerful mysterious beings such as Deep Sea King, Lord Boros, or Vaccine Man. One thing to note is that protagonist Saitama is actually not a playable character in this game, which is a bit unfortunate but does make sense if you think about it. After all, the character is just too overpowered.  You will be able to call upon his help during tough battles, though, so that’s something.

If you’re a fan of One Punch Man, then One Punch Man: Road To Hero might be worth checking out. It doesn’t cost you anything anyway, so head over to the App Store to pick it up right now.
