In Persona 5 Phantom X, you’ve got plenty of options to power up your characters and make them shine in battles. As you work through the first Palace and get the hang of the game, you’ll unlock more advanced systems, with Revelation Cards being the final piece of the puzzle.

You can slap up to five Revelation Cards on a character at once, and each card gives different boosts depending on what you pick. These cards are super flexible, letting you customize your characters in ways that go beyond just leveling them up. Here’s the lowdown on Revelation Cards.

How Do Revelation Cards Work in Persona 5 Phantom X?

Revelation Cards come in sets, and you’ll want to collect full sets to snag those sweet set bonuses, which are way more important than the basic stats on the card. Each card has a rarity color that shows how much it boosts a character’s base stats. In the Revelations menu, only the bottom four cards count toward the set, while the Space card gives an extra boost depending on the set of your other four cards.

When you pick a Space card, check the “Set Effect” menu in the bottom right. You want a Space card that matches the set bonus of your current four cards. If your main set is listed in the Space card’s Set Effect, you’ll get that extra bonus too.

The key to Revelation Cards is getting those set bonuses, but make sure the bonus fits the character. For example, the Love set boosts healing, so it’s best for characters like Lufel or Morgana.

Once you unlock Revelation Cards, you can start farming them in the Realm of Repression, which shows up as a new third option under Persona in the bottom left of the screen. Getting the cards you want means grinding in the right area to collect enough for the set you’re aiming for. If you’re planning to stick with a party member and a specific set for the long haul, try to farm purple or even yellow cards for that set. They’ll boost the card’s extra effects while keeping the set bonus.

You can also upgrade Revelation Cards using Crystals, which you’ll pick up while farming for cards in the Realm of Revelation.
