Persona 5: The Phantom X is free to play, but you can still drop some cash in the game. The shop’s always flashing deals and limited-time offers, but are they worth your money?
If you’ve played gacha games before, you know some shop bundles are a rip-off. That said, Persona 5: The Phantom X has a few solid picks, especially if you’re just a few pulls shy of hitting pity on a character banner you want. Save your Meta Jewels for pulls in general, but if you’ve got some extra cash, there are deals worth checking out.
What Bundles Are Worth Buying in P5X?
The best stuff in Persona 5: The Phantom X’s shop is the limited-time bundles you can only buy once. Regular top-ups and resource packs aren’t great value, so skip those. Here’s what to look at if you’ve got Meta Jewels to burn:
- Marthym’s Rewards Card
- Monthly Platinum Set
- Platinum Set 2
- Chapter 1 Clear Pass
Marthym’s Rewards Card
Hands down, Marthym’s Rewards Card is the best deal in Persona 5: The Phantom X. As long as you log in daily, it’s the cheapest way to stack up Meta Jewels. It costs $4.99 up front and gives you 300 Cognition Crystals right away. Then, for the next 30 days, you get 100 Meta Jewels and a Coffee Candy every day you log in. Other gacha games have similar daily passes, and P5X’s version is just as solid.
Monthly Platinum Set
Need more Platinum Tickets for limited pulls? The Monthly Platinum Set and Platinum Set 2 are your best bets. Platinum Set 2 is the better deal, but it’s a one-time purchase per account. For $29.99, you get 30 Platinum Tickets plus some XP materials—basically a buck per pull with extra goodies. The Monthly Platinum Set is a bit less exciting, giving you 20 Platinum Tickets and 1000 Meta Jewels for $32.99, but you can buy it multiple times.
Chapter 1 Clear Pass
For a smaller buy, the Chapter 1 Clear Pass is surprisingly decent. You unlock it after beating Kiuchi’s Palace and finishing the first chapter of P5X’s story, but you’ve only got a few days to grab it before it’s gone for good.
For $3.99, you get 240 Cognition Crystals and some daily login bonuses. After a week, you’ll have 300 Meta Jewels, two Coffee Aids, and two MaraThon Energy drinks. These are great for getting closer to your next 10-pull or grinding materials without worrying about running out of energy.
