On September 2, India’s Ministry of Information and Technology, citing Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, banned 118 Chinese apps, including two popular mobile games PUBG Mobile and its Lite version.

With the ban officially taking place, Indian users are now greeted with 'network login failed error' when they attempt to log into the game.

PUBG Mobile Ban Took Effect

Following the announcement of the ban, PUBG Mobile was removed from Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store on September 4.

However, several users reported seeing a message that reads 'network login failed error' a day before the removal. The most likely reason is the game’s server was blocked or taken down to comply with the PUBG Mobile ban in India.

Users of the Lite version is facing the same issue. While there are still some players who can log in like normal, don’t get your hopes up just yet because there is no going back now and all of the servers will be withdrawn soon.
