The Addams Family Mystery Mansion Is Out Now For Mobile

We have reported on developer Pixowl's The Addams Family Mystery Mansion several times before, and now it is finally available for both Android and iOS. For those who don’t know, this is a mobile tie-in to the upcoming animated movie The Addams Family, which is set to hit theaters tomorrow. Check out the game’s trailer below:

Despite being a tie-in, though, Mystery Mansion will still feature its own original story. Aside from that, it seems most of your time in the game will be spent furnishing and decorating the Addams mansion.

First thing first, the story kicks off as Gomez and Morticia return home from their second honeymoon only to see that all belongings have gone missing, and the other family members are nowhere to be seen either. Of course, it falls to you to help them find their relatives and refurbish the house.

This means you'll gradually collect more characters such as Lurch, Pugsley, and Wednesday as you progress, and they all come with various outfits that you can unlock as well.  Aside from that, you’ll also have to fill the mansion up with the furniture that you obtain from opening chests.

The game is divided into several chapters, and many parts of the mansion only become accessible when you reach a certain point in the story. As a result, you’ll probably want to complete the main campaign first before you can fully decorate the entire house.

The Addams Family Mystery Mansion is no doubt a treat to fans of the movie franchise, but it can also be appealing to those who just love a nice builder game. After all, how often do you get to refurbish a haunted house?  Judging from the trailers, there will be a wide variety of things for you to do that with, suits of armor to carnivorous plants to tons of other weird stuff.
