Genshin Impact just launched the biggest event of 3.3, Akitsu Kimodameshi. In this event, players can participate in the Yashiro Commission's Test of Courage to win exciting rewards. The biggest prize is the 4-star sword Toukabou Shigure, which looks like an umbrella.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase everything to know about the Toukabou Shigure in Genshin Impact 3.3 and the best characters to use it.

About Toukabou Shigure

During the event, players can get the Toukabou Shigure alongside all its refinement materials. It is a great F2P weapon that can be easily R5 and usable for various characters.

Toukabou Shigure is designed after a Japanese youkai.
  • Base Attack 42.4 - 509.61
  • Substat Type Elemental Mastery: 36 - 165.38

After an attack hits opponents, it will inflict an instance of Cursed Parasol upon one of them for 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 15s. If this opponent is taken out during Cursed Parasol’s duration, Cursed Parasol’s CD will be refreshed immediately. The character wielding this weapon will deal 16/20/24/28/32% more DMG to the opponent affected by Cursed Parasol.

Overall, the Toukabou Shigure is a DPS weapon, which pretty much increases all damage players deal to the marked enemy by 32%. Players don't need to worry about the debuff's downtime if they can take down the target within 10 seconds.

As the debuff only works on the user's damage, it is not that useful on a support character.

Best users for Toukabou Shigure

As the weapon has EM as secondary stat, it is best on reaction-based DPS characters, especially the ones in Dendro teams. Below are the best characters who can take advantage of the weapon.

Alhaitham is going to be the best user for the Toukabou Shigure, as his whole kit scales based on EM. If players pull for him but are not able to get his signature sword, the Toukabou Shigure would be a great alternative.

Alhaitham is pretty much "Dendro Keqing"

He also spends a lot of time on the field and could definitely make use of the Toukabou Shigure's buff to deal more damage to single targets.

While Nilou is best used with a HP% sword, however, currently there is no 4-star HP% sword in the game. She can also work with an EM weapon. This eases up her requirements for EM substat in artifacts a bit. Nilou is a great DPS who shines in Bloom teams, and the extra EM allows her Bountiful Cores to deal higher damage.

Nilou also requires on-field time, which this sword can definitely support.

With the debut of Dendro, some of the best Keqing teams now use the quicken reaction. The extra EM from the Toukabou Shigure would definitely support that, allowing Keqing to deal more elemental damage.

Keqing teams are much stronger nowadays.

As she spends a lot of time on-field, Keqing should be able to take advantage of the 32% extra damage to marked target.

Kazuha is one of the best elemental support in Genshin, with the ability to crowd control and boost the damage of the whole team. He usually builds around Elemental Mastery gear to increase the potency of his buff.

Kazuha is still the most wanted support in Genshin Impact 3.3 due to his damage boost

Players need to get as much EM as possible on him, which the Toukabou Shigure can definitely help. The passive is a bit of a waste, however, as Kazuha does not stay on the field that much.

Kuki Shinobu

One of the recently released 4-star, Kuki Shinobu works fairly well in Dendro teams with her ability to trigger aggravate and hyperbloom off-field. She needs a bit of EM to deal damage more efficiently, and the weapon can definitely provide it.

Kuki Shinobu's heal allows her to remain off-field.

Similar to Kazuha, the passive is wasted on Kuki, as she tends to stay off-field after casting all her skills. Players also need to get ER artifacts for Kuki if they want to use the Toukabou.

Honorable mentions

Dendro Traveler, Xingqiu or Bennett can also use this weapon, but they usually focus on ER and there are better alternatives. Players can definitely use this weapon to build for them to be the main DPS, of course.
