Cygames has delivered a major quality-of-life win for trainers on the English server of Uma Musume Pretty Derby. The developer announced on July 4, 2026, that two popular features from the Japanese version will arrive early as part of the game’s 1.5-year anniversary celebration.
The updates bring the Independent Training system, often called Auto Training, plus upgraded visuals for concerts on PC with 60 FPS support and 4K resolution. These changes aim to make daily play more convenient while showcasing the Umamusume in greater detail.
Independent Training: Hands-off career progress
The standout addition is Independent Training. Players set up a career run on the training screen by choosing a self-training policy to prioritize certain stats, selecting races in advance, and picking up to 10 skill hints from support cards. Once started, the game handles the full run automatically.
The session completes in roughly 50 minutes in real time. Trainers can switch to other in-game content or even close the app entirely while it runs in the background. When finished, the results appear for review, including any skill hints earned.
This feature proves especially useful for completing daily career goals, farming event points, and training legacy Umamusume to generate sparks for future aces. It counts toward relevant dailies and events without requiring constant attention.
Cygames noted the goal is “to make your daily training tasks more convenient to complete.” The system offers solid results for casual grinding and parent farming, though competitive players building top-tier aces for Team Trials or Champions Meeting will still prefer manual training for optimal outcomes. First-time race wins in this mode do not unlock trophies or concerts.
The feature reached the Japanese server last month and now comes to English players months ahead of the original timeline.
60 FPS and 4K concerts on PC
PC players will also enjoy a clear visual upgrade during in-game concerts. Frame rate rises from the standard 30 FPS to 60 FPS, delivering smoother animations for dances and stage performances. 4K resolution adds sharper textures to outfits and finer facial expressions.
Cygames highlighted the improvement: “By raising the frame rate from the original 30 FPS to 60 FPS, you can enjoy the Umamusume’s dancing and stage performances with incredible smoothness. Furthermore, 4K resolution provides amazing detail to the textures of their outfits and the finest nuances of their facial expressions.”
The enhancements apply specifically to concerts on the PC version.
Early arrival and anniversary plans
Global servers launched in June 2025, so the 1.5-year milestone falls around December 2026. By bringing these Japanese features forward now, Cygames is accelerating the experience for English players.
The full announcement stated: “To make your daily training tasks more convenient to complete, and to convey the brilliance of your trainees even more spectacularly, we are pleased to announce the early implementation of these new features currently available in the Japanese version of the game into the English version.”
Additional anniversary events and new stories featuring beloved Umamusume are planned for the celebration period. Cygames added that these updates mark the start of ongoing efforts to add more convenient features over time.
Trainers have welcomed the news as a strong step toward better daily play without sacrificing the charm of the game.
