A few days ago, the internet was taken by storm after the much-awaited Wonder Woman 1984’s release date was extended to Christmas Day. Meanwhile, speculations are also doing the round that fans of Black Widow will also have to wait for a few more months to watch the movie on the big screen. Obviously, the poor performance of Tenet at the box office has given clear signs that the entertainment economy has yet to recover after the pandemic and it was not the right time to release movies.
Another delay of Black Widow
After Warner Bros announced the delay of Wonder Woman, Black Widow fans are also on the nerves as Disney is also considering putting the movie on hold. It seems like the movie which was initially slated to release this November in the US will have to wait for a few more months to hit the cinema.
In fact, it wasn’t the first time the movie got delayed. Earlier this year, Black Widow, along with many other Hollywood movies were rescheduled as most of the cinemas across the world had to close due to the global health pandemic. Given the fact that Christopher Nolan’s Tenet failed to achieve the expected box office collection, Wonder Woman 1984, Black Widow and other upcoming movies like Jame Bones' No Time To Die need to be more careful when it comes to the release.

The US audiences aren't ready to come back to the cinema
Meanwhile, although two-third of the cinemas in the US have reopened, it seems like the audience has yet to get ready. In addition to that, major markets like Los Angeles or NYC remain closed. Used to be said to the only ray of hope to kick start the entertainment industry in the States, Tenet, however, came with a disappointing box office collection with only $29M in North America. On the contrary, the movie is a big hit in the international market with $177 million after the first two weeks.
For the unversed, Black Widow is the 24th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is distributed by Walt Disney Studio. The superhero film revolves around the original Black Widow Natasha Romanova (played by Scarlett Johanson) and her untold story between the Civil War and Infinity War. In addition to that, the movie will also unveil a lot of speculation about the next Black Widow Yelena Belova played by Florence Pugh.
