Finally, with the upcoming unlock 5.0 which is slated on October 15th, many theatres in India will be reopened after being closed for half of a year. According to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, 50% of cinema, theatres, and multiplexes across the country will be made available and moviegoers will have the chance to watch most-anticipated films of the years on the big screen.
Here is the list of upcoming Bollywood and Hollywood movies that we can finally watch after waiting for a long time, don’t miss out on any single of them!
1. Sooryavanshi
Being the fourth sequel in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, Suryavanshi is one of the most awaited movies of the year. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, the star-studded action movie also features Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles. The movie will hit the theaters this November and the date is yet to be revealed.
2. 83’
Being the talk of the town for a long time, Ranveer Singh’s first sports drama 83’ finally made its way to the silver screen in December 2020. The superstar will be seen in the roles of the Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev and unfold his journey of taking the whole team to be the 1983 World Cup winner.
3. Coolie No.1
Being the remake of Govinda 90’s comedy film Coolie No.1, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer has drawn a lot of eyeballs for breathing a new life into the classic one. The movie is from the same director of the original David Dhawan and is all set to release this November.
4. Tenet
After taking the cinema world by storm over the last month, Christopher Nolan’s magnum opus Tenet is finally made available in India. The Hollywood blockbuster which stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson has a few shots in Mumbai and also features Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia in the supporting role.
5. Dune
Starring Hollywood A-listers like Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in the leading role, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune is a mega-budget movie and one of the most anticipated Hollywood movies of the year. The sci-fi adventure movie revolves around a man called paul Atreides who leads the tribes in Arrakis to protect his planet.
6. Dead on the Nile
Another star-studded movie to be on the pile is Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile which features superstars like Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright, Armie Hammer, Russell Brand, and many others. The movie is the sequel to Branagh 2017 mystery thriller Murder on the Orient Express.
Dead on the Nile will release in the USA on October 23 while the exact release date in India has yet to be announced.
