James Gunn has revealed a little bit about the Vol.3.

It is the third time James Gunn has taken on a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You may not forget that he was the one behind the success of Guardians of the Galaxy and the second movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The release date of the upcoming movie has still been a secret because Gunns has overcome lots of ups and downs when getting dismissed and rehired by Marvel itself. Meanwhile, the director moved to film The Suicide Squad - a superhero film based on the DC Comics. That means he will be unable to embark on filming on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 until the DCEU film is completed.

At least, Gunn can still reveal a little bit about the promising MCU movie. In a recent watch party for the first movie in the Guardians series, the director said that the backstory of Rocket Raccoon will be the bright spot of Guardians Vol.3 as a part of his very initial plans. Moreover, Sean Gunn - James Gunn’s brother - is also confirmed to keep playing a role as Kraglin. The appearance of Chris Hemsworth as a hammer-wielding god Thor has also won lots of attention; however, fans may find out the answer soon in Thor: Love and Thunder - the movie will be released earlier.

The story of Rocket will be also revealed.

Another hot spot relating to the third adventure of Guardians was unveiled in Gunn’s Instagram. When a fan asked him if there is any death in the movie, he made a simple reply: “Yes”. However, fans can still hope that Gunn has just talked about one character, instead of our main characters.

"Yes" - a short reply but it is enough for fans to get shocked.

Do you remember the death of Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War? She was killed by Thanos but her younger version is still alive. And it’s younger Gamora that will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. It is a pity that she doesn’t have any idea about any member of the Guardians, including Star-Lord. Peter Quill may have a lot of difficulties to regain her love.

What Gunn has recently revealed reminds fans of the Ravagers leader Yondu Udonta in Vol.2. His funeral scene must steal countless tears of fans and therefore, many may compare the upcoming death with Yondu’s death. Anyway, what we can do now is just waiting for the next reveal of James Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.
