Vehicles are probably the biggest part of the Grand Theft Auto series, with cars and motorcycles being the two main types. While motorcycles do not provide the same protection as a car, they are more maneuverable and have a faster top speed.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 10 best motorcycles to buy in GTA Online 2023.

1. Reever

The Western Reever is a custom motorcycle that debuts in GTA Online as part of The Contract update. The bike is mostly based on the ARCH Method 143, with a few details taken from the ARCH Nazaré motorcycle in Cyberpunk 2077. The bike's name is taken from actor Keanu Reeves, the co-founder of Arch Motorcycles. He also played Johnny Silverhand, a character in Cyberpunk 2077.

Reever

Performance-wise, the Reever has an insane top speed of 163 mph. That makes it the fastest motorcycle in the game by a noticeable margin (13 mph faster than the runner-up bike). This speed allows the Reever to perform some great stunts with a wheelie.

Similar to all fast vehicles, the Reever has lower than average handling and can be a bit sluggish when doing turns.

2. Hakuchou Drag

The Hakuchou Drag is a modified version of the Hakuchou, including custom paintwork resembling stitched skin. It was introduced into the game as part of the Bikers update. It is mainly based on the Suzuki Hayabusa.

You can consider this bike an upgrade over the Defiler. All other stats of the Hakuchou are about the same, but its handling is even better than the Defiler. Players can come into a corner at high speed without losing control.

3. Shitzu Defiler

The Shitzu Defiler is a sports bike added to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Bikers update. It is based on the Suzuki Bandit 1200 Streetfighter. While its raw speed, looks and acceleration are great, the element that makes the Defiler shine is actually its controls.

Rivaling that of the Hakuchou and Akuma, the Defiler's turn radius when tackling corners is excellent. You should be able to weave through traffics and maneuver around sharp turns with relative ease.

4. Deathbike

There are three versions of the Deathbike: Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare. While they are not the best bikes to use in a race, the Deathbikes are an absolute beast in everything else... especially combat. All Deathbikes come with sawblades that can instantly kill players and pop tires.

Besides its decent speed and handling, the vehicle also has two special abilities "Jump" and "Boost", which allow it to launch into the air and gain extra speed.

Players should be careful when the blades are equipped, since that, when taking a turn, any curbs or bumps in the way can hit the blades and may cause the rider to crash.

5. Bati 801

The Bati 801 is the king of cheap motorcycles in GTA 5. Despite costing lower than 1% of the Oppressor, it is just a slight bit slower. With enough skill, overcoming that difference is not impossible. Buying one of these is probably the first thing you should do in GTA Online.

Its appearance is based on the real-life Ducati 848. Except for bombs, players cannot mod any weapon on this bike.

Bati 801 is cheap and powerful.

6. Manchez Scout

The Maibatsu Manchez Scout is a military off-road motorcycle that debuts in GTA Online as part of The Cayo Perico Heist update. Initially, this motorcycle is a mission-only vehicle, but it turns purchasable after the Manchez Scout Week event.

The Manchez Scout is a military dirt bike, perfect for off-road escapades.

Overall, it is an excellent off-roader coupled with excellent maneuverability and high top speed. However, its acceleration cannot keep up with the original Manchez. It is pretty much the perfect pick for races with rugged terrain and has more corners than straights. Players can install a "top box" modification to slightly increase the Manchez Scout's traction.

7. Oppressor MKII

The dreaded weapon Oppressor MKII is technically a bike. While its speed is nothing to brag about, the Oppressor MKII is a beast in pretty much everything else. You can hover over land, water, and even fly. While it was nerfed, this versatility makes the bike a popular choice for all kinds of griefers.

This versatility also makes it useful in most missions as well. From CEO/VIP work to MC missions and Heist setups, the Oppressor MKII is probably amongst the best purchase you would ever do in this game. The bike can also be fitted with machine guns, explosive machine guns, and missiles.

8. Oppressor

The Pegassi Oppressor is a custom sports bike featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Gunrunning update. It is the base version of the infamous Oppressor MK2 and the third fastest vehicle in the game.

Oppressor MK1

The Oppressor is also the second most expensive bike in the game, after its upgraded version - the MK2. It is based on the bike from Street Hawk, a modified Honda XR 500 motorcycle with a large rocket booster mounted on the rear.

9. Akuma

The Akuma is mainly based on the Buell XB12S, though it features a tubular frame, much like that of a Ducati Streetfighter or Triumph Speed Triple. It first appeared in GTA 4 and then made a return in GTA Online.

Akuma

Overall, the bike is fairly easy to use due to its fast acceleration and amazing cornering ability.

10. Ruffian

The Ruffian is mainly based on the Ducati Monster, with similar engine molding, gas tank, headlight, tail lights, exhaust system and seats, albeit with a longer, wider tail section.

Ruffian

Performance-wise, Ruffian is very quick and versatile. It has great acceleration, decent top speed, and good stability. In addition, despite being a sportsbike, it does not notably suffer when driving off-road.
