Minecraft 26.1 is off to an adorable start with Snapshot 2 (and Bedrock Preview 26.0.27), introducing completely revamped baby mob designs that go beyond simple shrunken adult models. These tiny companions now feature unique models, textures, animations, and even custom sounds recorded from real animals. The focus is on making them chunkier, floofier, and irresistibly cute, complete with one-pixel eyes for that extra baby charm.
Mojang calls this the "cutest drop yet," starting with eight key farm baby mobs: calves, lambs, piglets, kittens, chicks, wolf pups, baby ocelots, and baby rabbits. Rabbits also got a full remodel for both adults and babies. Here's a breakdown of every new design.
Baby Cow
The new calf sports doe-like eyes and a soft nose, looking ready to nuzzle up. Variants adapt to biomes: fluffy cold coats in snowy areas, classic in temperate zones, warm sandy hides, and mooshroom patterns in mushroom fields.
Baby Sheep
These lambs are tiny wool puffs on spindly legs, available in 11 colors for breeding fun. They balance realism with gameplay, making your farms even cozier.
Baby Pig
Piglets are now smaller and stockier, with biome-specific fluff: extra fuzzy in cold biomes, pink in temperate, and brown in warm areas. Their squeaky oinks come from real piglets.
Baby Cat
All 11 cat variants get a squishy makeover, from calico to tabby. They meow with unique, heart-melting sounds instead of sped-up adult noises.
Baby Ocelot
Jungle prowlers are majestic yet squishy, with oversized green eyes, blocky paws, and teeny toes. Perfect for spotting in the wild.
Baby Mooshroom
Matching the calf updates, these fungal babies have new models and textures tied to their mushroomy homes.
Baby Wolf
