Epic is planning to speed up its schedule of providing free title from twice a month to weekly now. Last week’s free game was RiME – an action platformer.
And this time, it’s City of Brass – a first-person hack-n-slash title.
The game has received a lot of attention when it first released on Steam. And if you’re a player with a low budget, then there’s no excuse that you don't grab the game on Epic Games Store right now.
The game will be free only for a limited time, from now to June 6, 2019. You can head to the store, claim your copy and keep it forever. After getting the game to your list, it will never expire, and you can download and try the game at any time.
Brief information about the game
City of Brass is a first-person action adventure title from former BioShock’s developers. With the developers’ reputation, the game quickly caught the eyes of many gamers and journalist.
Another thing in the game that made it stood out is the radiant-looking visual style. The developers have shown their adept skills at designing combat mechanics.
The main protagonist will wield a scimitar on the right hand, and a whip on the left hand on skeletons-like enemies.
According to the creators, the whip will contribute a huge potential to the gameplay. Specifically, it can be a grabber, it can lay down enemies’ weapon, stun them, proactively trigger switches and trap. And of course, it can deal damage, too!
But don’t be happy too soon! It’s not like other ordinary hack-n-slash titles, where you can go no-brain and hit your enemies and gain victory. Some reviews have affirmed that the game is very hard, which means you will die a lot actually, and has to plan decently carefully to get through the level.
The story
In City of Brass, you’ll dive into the story A Thousand And One Nights, and controlling an Arabian thief. You’re on the journey to collect some treasures in a hostile city, where you’ve to encounter hundreds of skeletons.
You can test your swordsmanship by directly encountering them in a glorious fight of a hero. Or you can choose to be a wise man, setting traps and luring them in if you want.
The game’s free now, which means it’s irresistible. So make your choice now, until it’s too late!
The next game to be free on Epic Game Stores will be Kingdom: New Lands, and GuruGamer will announce you here.
All that being said, stay tuned!
