The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake on Nintendo Switch 2 keeps the classic 12 fixed ocarina songs from the original, plus an optional custom Scarecrow Song. Each melody triggers specific effects for puzzles, travel, or combat. You learn them from characters or tablets as you progress. On Switch 2 the notes map to L, R, Y, X, and A. You can also hum tunes into the microphone once learned.

Core utility and story songs (mostly learned as Young Link):
- Zelda’s Lullaby (Y X A Y X A): Opens Triforce-marked doors and switches. Taught by Impa at Hyrule Castle.
- Epona’s Song (X Y A X Y A): Summons Epona as Adult Link and yields milk from cows. Learned from Malon at Lon Lon Ranch.
- Saria’s Song (R A Y R A Y): Lets you talk to Saria for hints and affects certain characters like Darunia or Mido. Found in the Sacred Forest Meadow.
- Sun’s Song (A R X A R X): Switches day and night and stuns ReDeads or Gibdos. Learned from a tablet in the Royal Family’s Tomb.
- Song of Time (A L R A L R): Opens the Door of Time and moves blue Time Blocks. Received after collecting the Spiritual Stones.
- Song of Storms (L R X L R X): Summons rain and reveals secrets. Learned as Adult Link from the man in the Kakariko windmill.
Warp songs taught by Sheik as Adult Link for fast travel:
- Minuet of Forest (L X Y A Y A): Warps to the Sacred Forest Meadow.
- Bolero of Fire (R L R L A R A R): Warps to Death Mountain Crater.
- Serenade of Water (L R A A Y): Warps to Lake Hylia.
- Nocturne of Shadow (Y A A L Y A R): Warps to the Kakariko Graveyard.
- Requiem of Spirit (L R L A R L): Warps to the Desert Colossus.
- Prelude of Light (X A X A Y X): Warps to the Temple of Time.
The optional Scarecrow Song is a custom eight-note melody you teach the scarecrow near Lake Hylia as Young Link. As Adult Link it summons Pierre at certain Hookshot spots. Songs only work in the right locations, so check your songbook on the ocarina menu if you forget an input. Learning them all unlocks full puzzle solutions and convenient travel across Hyrule.
