IRVINE, CA – Blizzard Entertainment today unveiled details for Diablo IV Season 8: Belial's Return, which will commence on April 30th AEDT / UTC+8. The Lord of Lies himself takes center stage as players embark on a quest for truth amidst a reality warped by Belial's sinister influence.
Season 8 introduces a wealth of new content and significant updates, promising a thrilling experience for all daring wanderers of Sanctuary.
Key updates introduced in Season 8:
- New Questline: The Lord of Lies Quest will see players joining new allies in their pursuit of the truth behind Belial's return and his manipulation of reality.
- Reworked Lair Boss System: Prepare for challenging encounters with revamped Lair Bosses, including the new Exalted Lair Boss, Belial.
- New Open-World Events: Apparition Incursions will plague Sanctuary as open-world, multiplayer boss rush events. By defeating targeted waves of enemies, players can earn better rewards.
- Sinister New Powers: Boss Powers offer a significant new way to customize your build. Players can acquire 24 distinct Boss Powers, resulting in 48 main and modifier combinations. Spectral Ash, earned from Apparition Legion Events, can be used to upgrade these owned powers.
- Revamped Battle Pass: The New Reliquary System represents a major overhaul to the Battle Pass. This new system provides multiple routes and rewards, offering players increased choice and a more customizable and chaseable rewards experience.
- Diablo IV's First External Collaboration - BERSERK: In an exciting first for Diablo IV, a collaboration with the iconic manga BERSERK will run from May 7th AEDT / UTC+8 until the end of Season 8. Players will have the opportunity to acquire the most iconic looks from BERSERK to further personalize their demon-slaying experience.
