Table of Contents
1. Genshin Impact Diluc overview
Diluc is a 5-stars Pyro character who can make very strong burst Melt and Vaporize combos. His Elemental skill can be used up to 3 times and his Elemental Burst can deal massive continuous AOE Pyro damage. In addition, after using the Elemental Burst, his Claymore will be on fire, transforming all your normal attacks into Pyro damage.
Both of his skills scale insanely good with his ATK, which scales even more when you proc Melt reaction or Vaporize reaction, the 2 strongest elemental reactions in the game. A Diluc team comp will be built around these 2 Elemental reactions. Head down below if you want to find out which is the best Diluc team comp in Genshin Impact.
2. Best Melt Diluc team comp
- Diluc
- Ganyu
- Kazuha
- Diona
First, we are going to start with a Diluc Melt comp. Diluc and Ganyu are the 2 main damage dealers with their Pyro and Cyro attacks to create Melt reactions. When Diluc procs the Melt reaction he will deal 2x damage.
Kazuha can group up and reduce the Elemental Resistance of the enemies. Ganyu will then use her Elemental Burst to bring out the icy rain for Diluc to trigger Melt on multiple enemies. Note that between Diluc Elemental skills, you should add in one extra auto-attack to maximize the damage output.
Diona provides a shield to protect party members while giving Ganyu extra energy to use her Elemental Burst. This position is flexible and can be swap with other characters as you like.
3. Best Vaporize Diluc team comp
- Diluc
- Xingqui
- Venti
- Bennet
In this Diluc Vaporize comp, we are going to use Xingqui to apply Wet status to the enemies to set up for Vaporize reactions from Diluc. Diluc will deal 1.5x damage when he triggers a Vaporize reaction.
Venti's Elemental Burst can group up and spread the Wet status to all enemies so you can use the Vaporize combos effectively. Both Xingqui's skills can apply Wet status to multiple enemies easily.
Xingqui's Elemental skill performs 2 water strikes and summons 3 Rain Swords around him that reduces incoming damage and apply wet to nearby enemies. Xingqui's Elemental Burst summon 3 Rain Swords and add Hydro attacks to your normal attacks.
Bennet can be a great final piece to add even more ATK, plus the healing from his Elemental Burst. Zongli is another option as the support character of the team by providing a shield and increasing the ATK of all party members.
4. Melt comp or Vaporize comp is better for Diluc
While Diluc deals 2x damage with a Melt reaction and deals 1.5x damage with a Vaporize reaction, many people actually prefer a Vaporize comp to a Melt comp for Diluc. The reason is that Diluc deals Pyro damage too quickly and there is no Cyro character in Genshin Impact who can match it.
That means you will not be able to trigger Melt reactions with all your Pyro damage. Kaeya's Elemental Burst let Diluc triggers Melt reactions on all of his Pyro strikes but not his Elemental Burst. Also, some of the Melt reactions will be triggered by your Cryo support characters instead of Diluc.
It is a different story with Hydro characters like Xingqui, which allows Diluc to always trigger 1.5x damage from Vaporize, which overall deals more damage. You only need to add an auto attack between your Elemental skills to trigger Melt. After your Diluc's Element Burst, all your auto-attack will trigger Melt when combined with Xingqui's Elemental Burst.
In conclusion, for now, a Vaporize Diluc team comp with Xingqui will bring out the most damage for Diluc. Cryo comp for Diluc is still a very good build and viable. However, it will not be nearly as good.
