Activision is bringing one of gaming’s most relentless icons into Call of Duty. The Doom Slayer will become a playable operator in Black Ops 7 and Warzone as part of Season 6, The Haunting, which launches on September 17.
The new operator draws directly from Doom: The Dark Ages. Players will also get a classic Doomguy skin that echoes the character’s look from the original 1993 game. Both arrive through a limited-time Doom Event Pass that begins on September 24.
The Event Pass features a free track and a premium track. The free track includes UAC-inspired operator skins for existing characters, weapon charms, loading screens, and the Roc 20mm special weapon. The premium track unlocks the Doom Slayer operator himself, the Doom Guy variant skin, blueprints for weapons like the AN-94, M10 Breacher shotgun, BFG, and Crucible katana, plus finishing moves and other cosmetics.
A separate store bundle, the Tracer Pack: Doom Demonic Essence, focuses on the Slayer’s enemies. It includes operator skins themed after the Marauder and Icon of Sin along with tracer-equipped weapon blueprints and additional items.
The Haunting is the final major content drop for Black Ops 7 before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives on October 23. Beyond the Doom collaboration, the update adds Halloween-themed maps and modes across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.
New and rethemed maps include Quantum, Bloodstead, a nighttime version of Avalon in Endgame, and Haunted Hollow, a spooky take on Haven’s Hollow in Warzone. Limited-time modes such as Giant Infected, T.E.D.D. Trials, and Hordepoint give players extra ways to fight through the season. The Battle Pass also introduces new weapons including the VMP SMG and TR51 Para assault rifle, plus the Blackjack operator.
Season 6 goes live on September 17 at 9 AM PT. The Doom Event Pass follows a week later. Fans who want to rip and tear through the battlefield can start preparing now. The only thing they should fear is running out of ammo.
