GTA 6 has generated an estimated $751 million in digital pre-orders, according to analytics firm Sensor Tower. The figure covers roughly 7.71 million units across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as of early November 2026, with the game launching on November 19.

PlayStation accounts for the large majority of early demand. Sensor Tower data shows:
- PS5: about 5.74 million pre-orders (74 percent), generating roughly $559 million
- Xbox Series X|S: about 1.97 million pre-orders (26 percent), generating roughly $192 million
Revenue grew by more than $100 million in the past two weeks alone. Earlier reports indicated that a large share of buyers chose the $99.99 Ultimate Edition over the $79.99 Standard Edition.
Digital pre-loading begins on November 10. The download can require up to 212 GB depending on the console. Code-in-box physical versions are expected from retailers starting November 12.
These numbers are third-party estimates of digital sales only. They exclude physical copies and have not been confirmed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
For comparison, GTA 5 earned more than $800 million in its first 24 hours after launch in 2013 and reached $1 billion within three days. GTA 6's current pre-order total already approaches that opening day figure, though the comparison is not exact because one measures post-launch sales and the other is a pre-release estimate.
The strong early numbers reflect massive anticipation for Rockstar's open-world crime sequel. Players will control dual protagonists Jason and Lucia in a reimagined Vice City, described as the biggest and most immersive entry in the series yet. With the November 19 launch just weeks away, GTA 6 is positioned to potentially set new sales records once it goes live on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
