King's Raid RE:VERSE is Masangsoft's rebuild of the Korean character RPG that launched worldwide in 2017, built a dedicated fanbase, and later shut down. The new version is headed to PC, iOS, and Android. The subtitle RE:VERSE is meant to reconnect with the original world and story, then continue beyond it.
Masangsoft acquired the IP after the original service ended in March 2025. According to a 4Gamer interview with the studio, the team is changing a lot while keeping the system that made the original feel unusual: you work toward the hero you want instead of gambling on random pulls.
How You Get Heroes
There is no character gacha. The main recruitment loop is the Hero's Inn.
- Heroes visit the Inn.
- You talk to them and give gifts.
- You raise Affinity and recruit them.
- An Instant Recruitment option is also planned.
- If a desired hero visits the Inn, you should still be able to recruit that hero immediately with Rubies.
The original game already used this system. RE:VERSE is bringing it back and updating it. After the first closed test, players said Inn appearance conditions felt too tight. The team says those conditions will be relaxed, and a new Affinity system will add more interaction-based recruitment routes.
Roster Plans
- 102 original heroes are being rebalanced.
- 31 heroes will be available at launch.
- New heroes are planned roughly every 2 weeks after launch.
The launch lineup was chosen with role and attribute balance in mind, so Physical and Magic parties both have a usable start.
Story, Combat, and Systems
The main story is getting full voice acting, and many original Japanese voice actors are returning. New cinematic scenes are also planned. In the original, voices were mostly limited to battle lines. This time, story conversations themselves are meant to carry the characters.
Real-time combat is being modernized. PvP, gear, and Raider systems are being reworked. Offline progression is part of the plan, including a dispatch-style loop so farming can continue while you are away.
There Is Still Monetization
No character gacha does not mean no paid content. The developers are considering costumes, progression items, and other packages. An optional launch pack would instantly unlock all 31 launch heroes. Those 31 heroes are available at launch either way. The pack is only a paid shortcut.
What Is Public So Far
There is still no proper public look at the new RE:VERSE build. Current official material is mostly screenshots, artwork, promotional footage, and closed-test notes. Pre-registration is open. Official launch is targeted for 2026.
