Reddit user u/THEFABLED45 fought a looters party of 60 in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord with a nude character and won. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord launched on Steam on March 30, 2020 and had a higher player total than Doom Eternal.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is still in its early access phase but it's finally out

Posted on Reddit, a user known as u/THEFABLED45 faced a gang of 60 looters with a naked character and a two-handed sword (and no army) and was victorious. Looters are randomly generated groups of non-player characters (NPCs) who roam the world of Mount & Blade II that lives up to its namesake. They can participate and fight, and many players have complained that nefarious assailants are defeated and need to be modified (nerfed).

u/THEFABLED45, however, decided to test that theory and wiped out only a group of looters using superior movement speed and staying out of reach of the looters sword while hacking and slashing with the claymore. The video can be found below:

While the game's AI is not terribly difficult to beat, taking on an entire enemy force is also not as simple as walking across a meadow. The force you encountered was also lacking in ranged units, which can be a nuisance when you don't have a shield or army to deal with.

In any case, the feat of the naked warrior may be sufficient evidence to refute the Looter theory, even if the method used is considered corny and breaks the game's authenticity.

It feels like the game got stuck in development hell but it managed to come out, the beta version at least

Mount & Blade series fans have been waiting for Bannerlord for quite some time; so long that many assumed that the game would never launch as a full release or remain in a perpetual beta state (like Star Citizen).

The recent Steam release of the title has rekindled the hope that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will one day be a polished and complete experience, and most will be happy that they can finally get the game in any condition and are willing to accept its flaws until they are fixed.
