Previously, the indie Chinese developer - Veewo Games - has announced its new action platformer - Neon Abyss. At that time, they only planned to release this game for PC and Switch.
However, taking this chance in ChinaJoy 2019, it has declared that this colorful title is coming to PS4 as well!

When today's obsessions turn into bosses
There's nothing much to say about the story of Neon Abyss, as the developer didn't provide a deep detailed plot. All we have right now is you'll take control of the main protagonists - stuck with an immortal curse. You'll have to dig deep down into the dungeon to find the artifact that grants you any wishes - the Pandora Box.
However, when it comes to gameplay, it's a whole different scheme! Neon Abyss is a roguelike action shooter that throws you in the dungeon full of bullets and enemies. Shooting your way through hordes of machines, and you'll gain more powerful items to help you with harder levels.
Furthermore, on your way, you can achieve some cute evolvable pets, interact with strangers to figure out the secrets lying in this dungeon.
However, what's the most special thing in this dungeon is that it will evolve over time. Additionally, you can control the grow and evolve of the whole dungeon to your own will. You can do that by customizing your upgrade path. Each time you place in a new update, the dungeon will open a new area. Eventually, you can get more items and even new endings as well!
Speaking about upgrades, the games give you unlimited potentials with your path. Specifically, every item has its own passive effects, and you can freely mix them with absolutely no restriction. With that, there are no two build paths that look similar! All of those things will put the game's replay potentials to another level.
Furthermore, as you can see from the trailer, there will be some mini-games to mix things up a bit. They consist of Dance Competition, Piano Performances, etc. The gods here also come from modern obsessions like Bitcoin or Video.
With more than 1 playable characters and a wide range of contents, Neon Abyss is a unique experience that you shouldn't miss!
Release date and supported platform
