Ubisoft, the developer of Assassin’s Creed 3, has declared that in the latest remaster of the game, some improvements will be added. These updates will also be available on the Switch version as well, and most of them will take advantages of Nintendo’s console extraordinary features.
Assassin’s Creed 3 will be remastered
Details about the updates for Assassin’s Creed 3: Remaster are shown in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey's Monthly Update of March. The game developer announced that the reason for this update is to build up a "better balance between action and stealth". It is now easier to pull off the double assassinations existing in the old AC3. Besides, you can now whistle from bushes to get enemies attention. In the original AC3, you could only do it from behind cover. Ubisoft also carries out the long-range and free-aiming weaponry into this latest upgrade version. Originally, these weapons were introduced in Assassin's Creed 4. They let players have better control towards Connor's bow and pistols.
Moreover, the update consists of a developed economy in the game, a new UI that includes color-blind options and, last but not least, "additional weapons for crafting". Especially, the latest Legacy outfits will appear in the remaster. These costumes will help Connor look like main characters from different Assassin's Creed games such as Odyssey's Alexios, Origins' Bayek, etc.
In Switch version, some additional updates are also arriving. Touch screen control is now available in order to support navigating the menu. Motion control will be added to allow for better aim with long-range weaponry. The UI design is tweaked to better suit the console's nature of going backward and forward between handheld and docked.
The launch date of AC3: Remastered is said to be March 29th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and May 21st for Nintendo Switch. It will be in Odyssey's Season Pass, but will also be published as a standalone title.
Adrestia and her crew will have some abstergo-themed cosmetic details
The March Monthly Update also provides information about new features that are coming to Odyssey in the next couple of weeks. March 19th is the time when the Abstergo-themed cosmetic items for the protagonists, as well as the Adrestia and her crew, will arrive. A Legendary ship lieutenant, Captain Octopus, is also going to be there. In March 26th, A Friend Worth Dying For, a new Lost Tales of Greece, will be accessible.
Odyssey is out for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
