Along with R6 Siege, another title is making its own way to The Rainbow Six franchise. Its official name is Rainbow Six: Quarantine, according to an announcement by Ubisoft in their press conference at E3 2019. While Siege is a PvP game, Quarantine will focus on PvE experience. The new trailer and the short speech of developers gave us more details on this upcoming title.

What we can see from the trailer

You can first watch the trailer here to feel the game by yourself:

In the trailer, we can see a unit of R6 agents fighting against a parasite in a hellish situation, in an attempt to save a man's life. Jade Adam-Granger, the lead designer of the game, said that Quarantine will be an addition to Siege's PvP gameplay in form of a three-player co-op PvE.

Rainbow Six: Quarantine will focus on PvE

This mode and Rainbow Six Siege Outbreak, which is well-known for its limited-time gameplay, seem to have a lot in common. Through the game, the studio is making efforts to put PvE into a standalone game with independent development and resources.

Like all Ubisoft's titles, players can enjoy Quarantine via Uplay+ service which is scheduled to release this fall.

The game will be a PvE Spin-Off of Rainbow Six Siege.

Ubisoft's intention in making Rainbow Six: Quarantine

The head designer of Ubisoft Montreal has explained their aims with the new games:

"We set out to create a radically re-designed co-op experience built on the foundations of one of the best shooters of this generation. What Siege is to the PVP shooter genre, we want Quarantine to be to co-op,"

The developer also teased some further information about the upcoming gameplay:

"Players can prepare to launch into tense, chaotic and totally unpredictable missions as they will risk everything with their squad, every time they step into Quarantine."

To help players understand this is not the end for Siege, Ubisoft also gave us a teaser at new Siege material in its press conference, including a set of new Operators for Operation Phantom Sight, which becomes available on June 11.

Rainbow Six: Quarantine is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in early 2020, and is currently under development of a new, devoted group at Ubisoft Montreal. Visit our specific category for more interesting news announced at E3 2019.
