Red Dead Redemption 2 has been a complete success on PC and now people are wondering: Where’s its online mode? Well, if things follow the plan, we should be expecting the online version today, on November 27th. Rockstar Games initially said that they would release Red Dead Online sometime in November, and there are just a few days left. CEO Strauss Zelnick also confirmed the fact that it is coming out at the end of this month. Check out some news update in the following video:
At first, we will be able to play RDO under beta phase. The publisher is expecting flaws, so don’t put your expectations too high. As for the features and modes to be in the game, we've known very little. However, here’s what Rockstar Games said to sum it up: Red Dead Online is based on RDR2 gameplay, enabling players to explore by themselves or with companies. Also, do expect to see constant adjustments and updates to further improve the gaming experience for everyone.
On Xbox One, Ultragamerz discovered that players are already unlocking RDO’s Achievements. Lots of them display a 0.01% completion rate, which very likely implies that testers are actually progressing in the game. By completing the game’ introduction, you will earn the achievement called "Breakout”. And as the matter of fact, 0.01% of the players have already achieved it. The achievement possesses a ball and chain image alongside the title, suggesting that players have to break out of something.
Furthermore, RockstarIntel found an image from Red Dead Online, which shows the intro scene featuring characters on a wagon and locked inside a jail cage. Hence, it seems that the very first mission from RDO is to break out and that all character creation, as well as other components, will follow that. Rockstar didn’t reveal too much about the upcoming release, but we should expect more details to come really soon.
Similar to GTA Online - GTA V, RDO is free for anyone who buys RDR2. Microtransactions are expected to be there since it’s very common to feature those in a product of Take-Two. GTA Online proved to be a huge success in the past and we know that Red Dead Online is expecting nothing less.
