A multiplayer space trading and combat simulator game named Star Citizen is now coming to PC as an exclusive for Microsoft Windows by Cloud Imperium Games. Being led by director Chris Roberts, the game's development started in 2011 and is mostly funded by a massive crowdfunding campaign. The game's official release date was scheduled to be in 2014, and then it has been postponed many times, from 2014 to 2015, then to 2016... now it is heading for the 2020 release.

The official description of the game sounds extremely interesting:

Travel across the vast expanse of space in a cargo hauler with a friend or two in the turrets, land on an alien landscape to pick up a bit of smuggling work only to be ambushed by unscrupulous outlaws and fight your way from the ground back into space. All in one seamless experience.

More than a space sim, more than an action shooter, more than an MMO: This is Star Citizen.

Recently, another new Star Citizen video was published by Cloud Imperium Games, revealing various upcoming materials featured in the game.

Update 3.6 is expected to come out at the end of this month, featuring a new law system which was shown on the video. More particularly, the black market is explained, and players' decision to own and trade prohibited goods now has consequences on your gameplay.

Lastly, the customization system gets new additions, and it seems to allow players to modify colors and interiors on their beloved ships.
