Minecraft is a huge game with a lot of diversity in all of its dimensions. To build a good looking base, getting the right biome is a must. However, there are quite a few to choose from. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 6 most beautiful biomes in Minecraft.
1. Meadow
This beautiful biome is the biggest candidate for base building. It is a grassy biome filled with patches of flowers and grass. Meadows are usually found at the base of mountains where they cross with plains biomes. Oak and birch trees have a small chance to spawn here, but when they do, there's a 100% chance to find a bee nest.
Both pillager outposts and plains villages can generate in this biome - it is the only mountain biomes that villages can spawn in. Passive mobs like rabbits, donkeys, and sheep spawn here as well.
2. Old Growth Taiga
Old growth taiga or giant tree taiga is a colder counterpart of the jungle biome. Similar to jungle and dark forest biomes, old growth taiga generates at very high humidity values and are often surrounded by the regular taiga biome.
It is a great biome to start and work into the endgame in Minecraft 1.18. There are large trees everywhere, which makes gathering wood a breeze. Furthermore, players can tame wolves for attack purposes and catch rabbits for rabbit farms. There are also podzol blocks that allow growing mushrooms regardless of light levels.
3. Lush Caves
A lush cave is a variant of an underground cave biome filled with unique flora. The floor is covered in dripleaf while the ceiling is home to Glow berries. Players can find glow squids, Axolotls, and tropical fish here.
This biome can be found underground below azalea trees.
4. Warped Forest
The Warped Forest is pretty much a palette swap of the Crimson Forest in the Nether. It is mostly identical to the Crimson Forest, with huge mushrooms of cyan color. Only Endermen can spawn here, making the biome fairly safe for exploring if you have a pumpkin helmet.
Overall, this biome is fairly good looking and is perfect for building a base in the Nether.
This is the only biome in the game devoid of music. Hoglins are afraid of warped fungi, which can be helpful for navigating around the Nether.
5. Warm Ocean
The warm ocean has an aquamarine water tone at the surface and generates next to deserts and badlands. It is filled with schools of tropical fish, pufferfish and squids. Unlike other ocean biomes, the Warm Ocean look absolutely beautiful with coral reefs and numerous sea pickles alongside other fish mobs. This is the only biome where you can find a coral reef.
6. Roofed Forests
Added to Minecraft as part of update 1.7.2, Roofed Forest is a variant of the Forest biome, with several extra features. Overall, the trees (and huge mushrooms) in this biome are very densely packed together, which makes moving around difficult. The "roofed" part means that the large trees prevent all sunlight from reaching the ground, making it dark enough to spawn mobs.
When passing through roofed forests, prepare to fight a lot of mobs under super annoying terrains. Overall, you can make a decent mob grinder or mushroom farm using this biome.
