Where Winds Meet Walkthrough: How to Complete An Unnatural Omen Quest

An Unnatural Omen is Jianghu Legacy quest 08, located in the Kaifeng region (Roaring Sands area).

Speak to the Wayfarer at Roaring Sands to unlock it.
Open the Exploration menu, go to the Side Story tab, select the quest, and inspect it to track the location on your map.

Full Walkthrough

1. Rescue the Crying Man

Travel to Ethereal Mountain in the Roaring Sands region, up the staircase ahead of the Skyreach Terrace Boundary Stone.
Defeat the three Xuanyuan Cult Members at the top of the terrace. They use ranged attacks and turn invisible (you cannot lock on while invisible, but melee attacks still work).
Speak to the crying man, Suan Sanchun. He mentions the Azure Dragon facing the sun.

2. Turn the Azure Dragon to Face East

Interact with the North Star Bagua Platform near the steps you ascended.
Rotate the Azure Dragon statue until its head faces east (align with the beacon light).
Step onto the yin-yang slab beneath the statue to activate the elevator and descend.

3. Solve the Tattered Eight Trigrams Puzzle (Bagua Wheel Door)

In the underground chamber, approach the sitting corpse on the steps to pick up the Tattered Eight Trigrams clue. Open the nearby chest on the left.
Face the large sealed door and interact with the Bagua Wheel Platform.
Rotate the inner and outer rings to match the symbols from the Tattered Eight Trigrams clue. Listen for a clicking sound when aligned correctly (it forms a yin-yang pattern).
Enter the door and activate the Hero's Tomb.

4. Descend into the Chamber

Pull the elevator lever to go deeper. It stops midway: defeat three Xuanyuan Cult Members, open the chest, and pull the lever again.
At the bottom, activate another Hero's Tomb. Slip through the doors, defeat the ambushing Xuanyuan Moon Minister, then activate the Ethereal Chamber Boundary Stone.

5. Defeat the Xuanyuan Cult Members (Arena Fight)

Clear three waves of Xuanyuan Cult Members, ending with the Xuanyuan Luminarch.
Combat Tips: Enemies summon astral barriers (Moon Disks hover above). Shoot the Moon Disk with fire arrows to dispel it. For the Luminarch, depleting his Qi via the disk enables an Execute.
Speak to Jin Zhongyuan at the central pavilion. He gives the Tattered Four Symbols Chart clue (Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise).

6. Retrieve the Three North Star Orbs (Hexagram Enclosures)

Use the North Star Bagua Platform behind Jin Zhongyuan to rotate ceiling panels (beasts) and ground platforms (symbols). Doors glow when correct. Pick any order; return each orb to Jin Zhongyuan.

7. Defeat Jin Zhongyuan's Inner Demon (Boss Fight)

After the third orb, Jin is possessed. Defeat him.
Tips: Parry his quick whip attacks. Fast-paced; stay aggressive.

8. Leave the Chamber

Talk to Jin Zhongyuan for partial rewards. He mentions a pendant for Elder Sun in Kaifeng City.
Follow the quest marker to exit (no double jump; avoid gaps).

Post-Quest: Give Pendant to Elder Sun

Check Kaifeng City after quest completion.
