With the worldwide release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 and Xbox One, the familiar question of PC fans once again surface: Will the game comes to PC?

Well, no. At least for now.

So many fans of Rockstar games consider that the PC version is the best version, thanks to the modding community. So many Rockstar games on PC got greats mods, which in turn made the gaming experience even better. And of course, the power of a gaming PC can enhance the visual of the game to the top. "If the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X version of Red Dead Redemption 2 are already better than the normal version, then how good can the PC version be?". Fans from everywhere kept asking for the PC version, yet the answer is still no. For now.

All those calling from fans of Red Dead Redemption series for a PC version are nothing new. Ever since the release of Red Dead Redemption 8 years ago. The outcry have even become a meme itself, with an entry on knowyourmeme.com.

In 2011, Rockstar have explain the reason why there are no PC version of Red Dead Redemption

We do know that, yes, there is just one title absent from our PC release plans — that game of course being Red Dead Redemption, and of course we’re well aware that some fans have been asking for it. All we can say is that whenever it is viable (technically, developmentally and business-wise) for us to release a game for PC (or any other particular platform) — we will and we usually do; unfortunately, that is just not the case 100% of the time for all platforms.

But even now, when 7 years have passed, Rockstar's idea about Red Dead Redemption PC still remain the same. Even with better technologies, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption is still nowhere to be seen.

Of course, there are still some hopes left. The best evidence comes from Grand Theft Auto 5, which was getting a PC port one year after the initial console release. And this isn’t the only one time a Rockstar game getting PC port at a later date.

Grand Theft Auto 4 got a PC port 8 months later. That number, for L.A. Noire’s PC port is 6 month.

So, for now, maybe what we should all do, is be patient. There are no announcement for now, but that doesn't mean it will never come out.
