Genshin Impact's 2.5 patch is coming out next week, on February 16, 2022, and Yae Miko is going to be introduced in its first banner. She is going to be a 5 star Electro Catalyst character, with skills that focus on burst damage. In this article, we are going to showcase the top 5 reasons to pull Yae Miko in Genshin Impact 2.5.

1. Yae Miko is very mobile

The best part about Yae Miko's first skill is that it allows her to dash forward a bit. For ranged characters, keeping their distance so that they can hit and run is vital - Yae's skill allows her to dodge attacks and reposition herself for later plays. This means she is one of the best characters for skilled players to showcase their dodging skills.

2. Yae Miko's kit deals incredible off-field damage

The skill also summons a lightning rod called "Sesshou Sakura" that periodically strikes opponents nearby with Electro damage. When there are other Sesshou Sakura nearby, their level will increase, thus boosting the DMG dealt by said attacks. A maximum of 3 Sesshou Sakura can exist simultaneously. The initial highest level each sakura can reach is 3.

Sesshou Sakura
Sesshou Sakura can deal a lot of damage with a bit of setup.

For example, at Talent level 10, each Sesshou Sakura level 3 can deal 170% damage for each strike, a 60% increase compared to the first level. And you can have three of them on the field, which triples the damage potential. If you invest enough to get Yae Miko C2, Sesshou Sakura would gain a 20% CD reduction and 100% AOE for each attack. C6 is the power spike for Yae, which upgrade all Sesshou Sakura to level 4, dealing 210% DMG per hit.

3. Her Burst has huge DPS potential

Upon cast, Yae Miko unseals nearby Sesshou Sakura, destroying their outer forms and transforming them into Sky Kitsune Thunderbolts, dealing AoE Electro damage. Each Sesshou Sakura destroyed this way creates one descending thunderbolt.

This skill has incredible scaling and can deal up to 600% DMG with just a little bit of setup. It also deals some damage upon cast as well. Overall, her kit is super simple and straightforward, you don't need much skill to be able to use her effectively.

4. Off-field elemental reactions triggers

Characters with an off-field kit that can trigger elemental reactions by themselves are always useful in various comps... and Yae is not an exception. For example, players can use her alongside Kokomi (who has a very similar skill) to trigger electro-charged continuously. Add a Pyro character into the mix and you would be Overload + Vaporization for days.

5. Yae Miko has beautiful design and animations

A lot of Genshin Impact players focus on summoning characters they like, regardless of them being Meta or not. Because of that, Yae Miko has gained a fair number of fans even before her release. Her character designs and animation are super well done.
