Kamisato Ayato is a 5 star Hydro Sword character in Genshin Impact. He is one of the more unconventional characters in the game, with all his DPS coming from normal attacks. Ayato can work either as a Main DPS or Burst Support. Due to his Hydro Element, Ayato is a very flexible unit that can fit in various team comps such as Vape, Permafreeze, and Taser.

Overall, Ayato is a pretty easy-to-use character, as you don't have to time his abilities much. His skill changes his normal attacks into powerful AoE Hydro slashes, which can trigger reactions

Ayato's Elemental Burst is consistent Hydro Damage With Huge AoE. It is pretty much Ganyu's burst but Hydro. The long duration is probably the best part of Ayato's Burst - it actually allows him to be played as a Hydro support.

On top of that, characters inside the AoE of the Elemental Burst will have their Normal Attack Damage increased. This means Ayato can also support various normal attack comps.
