Following its original release on PC in May this year, the streamlined RPG Swag and Sorcery is now set to make the jump to the iOS platform on the 2nd of January. It’s an offering from the same team that was responsible for Graveyard Keeper and Punch Club. Check out its trailer below:
The goal of Swag and Sorcery is relatively straightforward: You'll build a fantasy village of your own, recruit heroes, equip them with the best gear you can get your hands on, then send them on adventures to obtain more loot. Rinse and repeat.
And even though the game follows a fantasy theme, your arsenal of weapons isn’t limited to the traditional swords and shields. From the trailers, it can be seen that your heroes can wield several types of rifles and even a guitar. The same is true about the outfits: There's a sizable collection of hats other items for you to adorn your character with beyond the usual fantasy metal armor.
When your heroes are sent on a journey, they will, for the most part, be able to handle things on their own, allowing you to just sit back and watch. However, if you feel like the battle is not going your way, you'll be able to influence it by casting the various spells you’ve collected to help your heroes out.
These spells can either be offensive and defensive, and they include all the typical stuff that you’d expect: Launching fireballs at enemies, roasting them with devastating lightning bolts, or healing your heroes so that they can stay in the fight longer.
Swag and Sorcery is expected to hit the App Store on January 2nd and it’s already available for pre-order right now if you are interested. It’ll be a premium app priced at £6.99 (Rs 650).
