The highly successful title from 2016
You probably have heard about the title Dead by Daylight when it came out on PC, Xbox One and PS4 a few years ago. By Behaviour Interactive, this is a unique title that features multiplayer horror/survival. Currently, the game is heading towards the next major platform, Nintendo Switch, this fall, 2019.
Thanks to the strategic and intense gameplay, Dead by Daylight has attracted a lot of players since its first release. Four players will team up, become survivors and attempt several tasks to escape a particular level. Meanwhile, the fifth player becomes a villain and try to capture the others.
Dead by Daylight mobile revealed
Just a few weeks ago, the mobile version of Dead by Daylight was leaked accidentally and we got to see the videos showing its developing progress. Also, back to last Friday, in a livestream to celebrate Dead by Daylight’ 3rd anniversary, Behaviour revealed the official information on the development of the mobile version.
In the below video, we can hear the devs talking about this, describing the upcoming mobile title to be “a different approach into the game, but creating a similar gaming experience."
For mobile gamers, the concept of Dead By Daylight might be quite familiar. That's because Behaviour Interactive partnered with NetEase in the past to release a game called Identity V, which was basically a clone of the official game. It became a hit in China and in the U.S soon after as well.
Why mobiles?
Right now, you might be wondering why Behaviour are developing the mobile version, while having the perfect experience out there on PC/Consoles. Well, it could be due to the main cast of Dead by Daylight. The game features famous horror figures like Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface and soon Ghostface as in-game playable killers.
On the other side, the game also features famous survivors from horror franchises. Laurie from Halloween, Bill from Left4Dead or Ash from the Evil Dead series are examples of them. Take a look at the upcoming Ghostface.
At the moment, we’re still waiting for an official release date. However, E3 is coming soon and we could be seeing a playable version of Dead by Daylight mobile there. The game has been a complete success on major platforms, let’s hope its mobile version can deliver the same.
