Genshin Impact 2.6: Should You Pull For The Unforged And Mistsplitter Reforged?

In the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.6 weapon banner, miHoYo is going to rerun two 5-star weapons: Mistsplitter Reforged and The Unforged. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase their exact release date alongside the various details to see if players should pull for these two weapons or not

1. Genshin Impact 2.6's 2nd weapon banner

The planned release date for this banner is April 19, 2022. The main drops on this banner are the Mistsplitter Reforged (5-star sword) and The Unforged (5-star claymore). This weapon also accompanied the previous banner of Ayaka back in August last year.

Below are the 4-star weapons that also going to be part of the banner:

• Favonius Sword
• Favonius Codex
• The Bell
• Favonius Lance
• Favonius Warbow

This Epitome Invocation will start at 18:00 on April 19, 2022, and end at 14:59 on May 10, 2022.

2. How good is the Unforged?

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 46 - 608
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): ATK +10.8% - 49.6%

Increases Shield Strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

The Unforged is part of the Zhongli-themed item set, with skills that revolve around shielding and attack boost.

Overall, while powerful, this set is fairly limited as you need to constantly apply shields to yourself. This requires you to have a shielder like Zhongli in your team or use Claymore characters with shields like Noelle, Yanfei and Beidou.

3. How good is the Mistsplitter Reforged?

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 48 - 674
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): CRIT DMG + 9.6% - 44.1%

Gain a 12 - 24% Elemental DMG Bonus for every element and the ability to gain Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter's Emblem provides an 8/16/28% - 16/32/56% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type.

The Mistsplitter Reforged has bonuses for Elemental Damage, and because of that, it would be amazing for any characters who can infuse their normal attacks with elements. It is fairly easy to gain Mistsplitter's Emblem stacks - you only need to deal elemental damage with your normal attack then fire your Burst to gain the other two stacks.

The best characters to use the Mistsplitter Reforged are Keqing, Kazuha, Ayaka, Traveler and Bennett. With Ayaka being the main unit in 2.6's second banner, acquiring the Mistsplitter Reforged is vital. The weapon allows Ayaka to deal a lot more damage with her kit.

4. What about the 4-star weapons in the banner?

The whole set of Favonius weapons is included in this banner. They are powerful gears that give energy regeneration bonuses, which is useful on pretty much all characters. Even if players fail to get their weapon of choice, a number of Favonius dupes can still be pretty decent.
