Genshin Impact 2.7 Release Date, Livestream, Characters & Events

Genshin Impact 2.7 release date falls on the first half of May 2022. There are some new characters and interesting events in the upcoming update. Check out some leaks about Genshin Impact 2.7 here.

I. Genshin Impact 2.7 Release Date

Genshin Impact 2.7 will be released on May 11th, 2022. The character banner of Kamisato Ayaka will end on May 10, 2022. Therefore, the next version with a new character banner will be available to play on the following day.

The live stream program of Genshin Impact 2.7 will be on-air a couple of weeks before the official release date. Genshin Impact fans expect to see the special program on April 29th, 2022.

It will give all details of the upcoming update, including character and weapon banners, new events with detailed gameplay, and more.

II. Genshin Impact Upcoming Characters

Kuki Shinobu and Yelan are two upcoming characters in Genshin Impact 2.7. Their rates are still unknown. In addition, many characters will also come back in some rerun banners in two phases of Genshin Impact 2.7. Check out some upcoming banners in the next update.

New Characters

There are two new characters in the next update, including Kuki Shinobu and Yela. They have two different visions, weapons, and skills.

• Yelan is a bow user with Hydro vision. She once appeared as a mysterious person in a cutscene in the quest 'Wherefore Did the Spiritstone Descend?' in the Chasm: Underground Mine.

The constellation of Yelan is called Umbrabilis Orchis. She is a character from Liyue and a member of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Yelan often disappears before the storm stops like a phantom.

• Kuki Shinobu is an Electro character. She is a character from Inazuma. Shinobu is known as the Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang of Arataki Itto. Her constellation is Tribulatio Demptio.

Arataki Gang is a famous gang in Inazuma with seven members, including Traveler. The playable Arataki Itto is the leader of this gang.

Rerun Characters

Apart from the banner of two new characters, there are some rerun banners of old characters in Genshin Impact. Here are the top four possible rerun characters in Genshin Impact 2.7.

• Kaedehara Kazuha is a 5-star Anemo sword user from Inazuma. He can play as a sub-DPS and a supporter. This character is highly expected in Genshin Impact 2.7 and 2.8.
• Yoimiya is a Pyro archer from Inazuma. She can be the main DPS character of the Hydro and Electro teams or support Cryo and Pyro teams.

• Klee is a little but powerful naughty girl from Mondstadt. She is a Pyro character who can play as the main DPS of any team. She is highly anticipated after the appearance in many in-game and web events of Genshin Impact 2.6.
• Keqing is an Electro sword user. Though she is not among the most powerful DPS in this game, she can still be a DPS and sub-DPS fighter in an Electro team.

The rerun characters have not been confirmed yet. Those characters are the most likely to return in the next update. But there are many old characters who haven't been reintroduced, so they still have the chance to return in Genshin Impact 2.7 rerun banners.

In addition, there are some new weapons for Yelan and Kuki Shinobu or rerun characters. According to the rumor, Aqua Simulacra will be the signature weapon of Yelan. Besides, Fading Twilight is another rumored new weapon to come in the next update.

III. Genshin Impact Events & Features

Genshin Impact 2.7 also has many new events. The rumored event Arataki's Great And Glorious Drum is expected to come to the game in the upcoming update. According to the rumors, this event has similar gameplay to the rhythm game 'Ballads of Breeze' in Mondstadt.

Material Collector can be a new gadget in the next version. Travelers can also unlock some new recipes, such as Dew-Dipped Shrimp and How To Get Omurice Waltz. They are special dishes of Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.
