With Sumeru's release coming ever closer, leaks have come out about the upcoming reactions of Dendro, the only element absent in Genshin Impact so far. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase everything you need to know about Overgrown and Intensified, the two new Dendro elements.
1. About Overgrown And Intensified
Currently, the only Dendro reaction in the game is Burning, which can be triggered by Dendro and Pyro. It deals additional damage over time to opponents.
In 3.0, Dendro will react with Hydro to trigger Overgrown and react with Electro to trigger Intensified. It won't react with Anemo, Cryo and Geo. Overall, this is a well-thought-out decision, as Cryo already reacts with too many elements.
Overgrown
When combined with Hydro, Dendro would trigger Overgrown. When this happens, seeds would drop and grow into mushrooms, which deals AoE Dendro damage. Players can keep applying Hydro to these mushrooms to continue dealing additional damage to opponents.
Intensified
When combined with Electro, Dendro would trigger Intensified. When this happens, the reaction drops one Electro particle and amplifies the Electro and Dendro damage taken by the affected enemies. The effect would last for 7 seconds.
