When you solve a puzzle or find a lonely Obsidian Totem, you can interact with it, and your characters will face a unique boss. Each of these monsters has special ways of fighting that you need to learn to win the challenge.

Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis is a boss that constantly attacks you with Dendro moves while trapping you in different dimensions whenever you lower its HP to a certain level. It's a fun fight, but it becomes tricky when you start going for the Trial’s Achievements in Genshin Impact.

How to Defeat Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis in Genshin Impact

To defeat Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis in Genshin Impact, you need to know how the challenge works. The boss will often send your characters into another dimension, where you'll fight Nightsoul warriors to boost your damage. However, every time you defeat one, your damage against Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis increases, but your HP starts to drop quickly. The more Nightsoul warriors you defeat, the faster your HP will go down.

If you don’t care about getting Achievements, bring a shielder to soak up all the damage. You can also avoid fighting the Nightsoul warriors by just waiting a few seconds and leaving the dimension the boss traps you in. This won’t boost your damage, but it will keep your HP from dropping. You can earn one Achievement each time you fight Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis, so you can use a different team for each battle.

What are Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis achievements in Genshin Impact?

Getting the first Achievement in Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis Night’s Trial in Genshin Impact is simple—just defeat the boss. However, the next two achievements can be quite challenging.

For the second Achievement, you need to defeat 10 Nightsoul warriors in the other dimension, which can be tough because your HP drops quickly. To make it easier, use strong off-field healers in Genshin Impact and keep their healing active while you quickly take down the 10 warriors.

To earn the last Achievement, you must defeat Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis without taking any hits. This can be tough because you can’t use a shielder. You'll need to dodge instead. Good luck getting those 20 Primogems! It’s a good idea to use characters that can deal damage off-field, like Yae Miko, Kokomi, and Nahida. This way, you can keep attacking the boss while concentrating on avoiding its attacks.

Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis can be found in the northern part of Natlan in Genshin Impact. The Special Obsidian Totem is situated north of Huitztli Hill, right above the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant boss.
