Tighnari is a Dendro Bow Character in Genshin Impact. Overall, Tighnari is a Single Target DPS which mainly deals DMG with his Charged Shot. He is the first 5 star Dendro in Genshin and will serve as a Dendro DPS who mainly deals damage by reactions.
In this article, Gurugamer.com is going to showcase a complete Genshin Impact Tighnari build guide.
1. Tighnari Skill Set Overview
Overall, players need to max Tighnari's attack talent and burst first, leaving his Skill for last.
Charged Attack
Tighnari's Charged bow attack has 2 levels, similar to Ganyu.
- Charge Level 1: Fires off an arrow carrying the power of flora that deals Dendro DMG.
- Charge Level 2: Fires off a Wreath Arrow that deals Dendro DMG. Upon hit, the Wreath Arrow will create 4 Clusterbloom Arrows that will track nearby opponents automatically and deal Dendro DMG.
Elemental Skill: Vijnana-Phala Mine
Vijnana-Phala Mine, summons a Vijnana Stormheart that deals AoE Dendro DMG and taunt enemies inside the field.
Whenever Tighnari uses his Elemental Skill, his next Charged Attack Level 2 will charge up quicker. The effect will last until Tighnari has managed to fire three Wreath Arrows.
Elemental Burst: Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft
Combines the power of all seeds to fire 6 Tanglevine Shafts that can track opponents and deal Dendro DMG. After they hit, the Tanglevine Shafts will create a secondary wave of Tanglevine Shafts that can also track opponents and deal Dendro DMG on hit.
Passive Talent
- Encyclopedic Knowledge: Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Sumeru on the mini-map.
- Keen Sight: After Tighnari fires a Wreath Arrow, his Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for 4s.
- Scholarly Blade For every point of Elemental Mastery Tighnari possesses, his Charged Attack and Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft DMG are increased by 0.05%. The maximum DMG Bonus obtainable this way is 50%.
2. Genshin Impact Tighnari DPS Build
Being the first Dendro DPS character, miHoYo makes Tighnari's kit fairly powerful. The character is going to benefit a lot from Elemental Mastery (EM) as one of his talents, Scholarly Blade, increases the damage of his Elemental Burst and Charged Attack by 0.05% for every point of EM he has, for a maximum bonus of 50%.
As players are going to build EM on him, Tighnari's reaction damage is going to be massive. Players need to build a team around Dendro reaction if they want to main Tighnari.
Best 5-Star weapons for Tighnari
- Hunter’s Path: Tighnari's best weapon (as well as his signature). Has useful stats and a tailor-made passive.
- Polar Star: Strong option that's not very far behind Hunter's Path. Requires an additional step to stack its passive, albeit not a very demanding one (fire a Normal Attack when Tighnari first enters the field).
- Aqua Simulacra: Similarily strong option not far behind Hunter's Path. Has slightly more universal than Hunter's Path and Polar Star, but also has a conditional passive that requires Tighnari to remain within a certain range of enemies.
Best F2p weapon for Tighnari
- Slingshot: Cheap yet surprisingly strong 3-star option. Requires Tighnari to play at a close range; otherwise, damage decreases significantly
- The Stringless: Decent, entirely unconditional option. Use this for a hassle-free experience if nothing else is available.
Best artifact sets for Tighnari
These are the artifact sets tailor-made for Tighnari, who relies on EM to deal Dendro damage. Before this, players can use the Wanderer’s Troupe x4
Best Stats:
- ATK%/Dendro DMG/CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
Deepwood Memories
- 2-Piece: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.
- 4-Piece: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.
Gilded Dreams
- 2-Piece: Elemental Mastery +80.
- 4-Piece: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.
3. Best Tighnari Team Comps
Overall, Tighnari would deal damage with either Catalyze -> Spread (Dendro + Electro + Dendro/Electro) or Bloom -> Burgeon/Sprawling Shots (Dendro + Hydro + Pyro/Electro). This means players need to run Tighnari with either Hydro Support or Electro Support.
Tighnari Catalyze - Spread team
- Tighnari + Fischl/Yae Miko/Kuki Shinobu + Kazuha/Sucrose + Any
Overall, in a Catalyze team, we inflict the Quicken effect by having Tighnari trigger Dendro on the target, with support from the Electro Enabler. Afterward, Tighnari would fire repeatedly, triggering Spread to deal extra Dendro damage.
Kazuha or Sucrose is there to buff the team's Elemental Mastery. The last slot could be anything - from Zhongli for protection to Xingqiu for extra Bloom reaction.
Tighnari Bloom - Burgeon team
- Tighnari + Xingqiu/Yelan + Bennett/Pyro support + Kazuha/Sucrose
In this team, players focus on triggering the Bloom with Tighnari + Hydro support. After the seed is spawned, blow it up with the Pyro character for burst damage.
The last slot can be either Kazuha or Sucrose for the extra EM.
