After the worldwide success of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), PUBG Mobile has been ported to smartphone devices and speedily risen to fame in bounds and leaps. However, both the developers and players always have to face off against nothing other than the epidemic of hackers and cheaters in the game. As reported by players, the popular battle royale title had undergone the worst-ever situation: PUBG DDOS hack.

What is DDOS?
Distributed Denial of Service, dubbed as DDoS, is a popular type of cyber-attacks that aims to flood a network with excessive traffic. If successful, users won’t be able to have access to the service or send any legitimate requests as the network system has already come under fire and get overloaded.
Everything about DDOS attacks in PUBG Mobile
According to PUBG Corp., the company behind PUBG Mobile, cheaters already came up with a new method that allows them to direct DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attacks towards PUBG Mobile’s server, resulting in all the players being ‘frozen’ after a sudden loss of connection during a match.
Players then would be disconnected from the game without being able to acknowledge why they face such a technical hiccup repeatedly. Sometimes, your internet connection might be the root cause of this error but these days, cheaters are performing DDos attacks on PUBG Mobile servers to hinder the gaming experience.
Once a player notices that he got kicked out from the game, he would think that the app was just a little bit lagging then tries to restart PUBG Mobile or re-enter the match. The bad news here, he’s no longer be able to make a comeback anytime soon due to the PUBG DDOS hack.
How to play PUBG Mobile if we face DDOS attacks?
Well, you might have encountered different types of cheating in PUBG Mobile, including X-Ray Vision (also known as wall-hack) and Auto Aim. These tricks simply tear apart the fair competitions and drive good players crazy as hell, but there’s one more hack that turns out to be the darkest nightmare for players: DDOS hack.
"We are currently encountering several waves of DDoS attacks against our systems that are causing players to disconnect. Our team immediately takes action and starts working closely with local service providers to resolve the issue."
Considering that players even cannot take part in any matches and look for a way to resolve the problem in vain. Nobody except hackers can take control of the server freeze/unfreeze status. In case players are stuck in this scenario, they would have to spend some time restarting the game and hackers meanwhile would kill the unlucky disconnected players.
As per the report, DDOS tools somehow intervene in the PUBG Mobile server then escalate the ping and cause server timeout in return.
In fact, hackers have reportedly developed different tools and scripts to sell them to Free Fire players, with each piece setting back around hundreds of dollars. Such a tool is specifically designed to run on Windows 10-based computers, so it’s likely that cheaters will use Android emulators like Gameloop or Bluestack to deploy the DDOS attacks instead of launching the game on smartphones.
PUBG Corp’s replies to DDOS attacks
Soon after players around the world reported the disconnection and freeze issues, PUBG Corp. has begun working on tackling these harmful DDoS attacks in a timely manner. As per a statement shared on Facebook, the company claimed that they would release a new anti-cheat patch as soon as possible. At that time, more security engineers were tasked with stopping the attacks as a temporary solution.
"On this announcement, we also would like to inform you that a new anti-cheat patch will be released soon. In the meantime, we have deployed more security team members to put a serious stop to cheaters. Like our players, we have always had a zero-tolerance policy against cheating and hacking," adds PUBG Corporation.
