The long-awaited update of Erangel 2.0 has finally been released, bundled with PUBG Mobile 1.0 beta update. For people who are out of the loop, Erangel 2.0 is the remastered version of the popular Erangel map, PUBG’s most favored battlefield ever since its creation. The map update was revealed more than a year ago, and it took that much time for them to port it.
In this article, we would list out every single change in this update and analyze them.
1 - Erangel Remastered
Aside from various visual details and graphics improvements, Erangel 2.0 has outright changed a lot of things like building structures, landing animations… and more. The three places with the most improvements are Prison, Quarry and Mylta Power. Fights on these locations would be much different than usual - you might need to relearn them, even, as loot places have been moved around.
More elements related to the backstory of Erangel are going to be added onto the map such as the wooden barricades, trenches, and abandoned tanks. This further emphasizes the map being a former base of the Soviet army… and the events that happened here.
2 - Livik improvements
More balance changes are made to the Livik map such as art improvement, stage balancing and bug fixes... however, the best change is the addition of the Shotgun M1014. With combat on the map frequently getting into close range, having a shotgun as a secondary weapon would provide an alternate option in a fight.
3 - Cheer Park 2.0
Training ground is updated with new features - this would help players, even more, when they work on their shooting skills. Cheer Park Showdowns and Island in the Lake of Cheer Park are just flavor updates to improve players' experience using the area. Besides these changes, the UI also gets an update as well.
