Sayu is a 4 star Anemo Claymore character in Genshin Impact. While her kit is pretty decent, she doesn't have any niche that other characters cannot do. However, with the right lineup, players can definitely run Sayu as a healer/support while dealing decent damage as a sub DPS.

Sayu's biggest strength is her consistent Anemo procs alongside a decent healing ability. With EM as her hidden stat, she can serve as a battery for quite a few characters. Furthermore, her kit's decent AoE can generate a lot of particles and energy. This makes Sayu much easier to play and gear compared to other supports.

Sayu's weakness is probably her 80 cost Burst and a rather clunky Elemental Skill. She can be interrupted or knocked out of rolling. Additionally, she also needs at least C1 to be an effective healer.

Sayu and Venti will spread the Viridescent Venerer debuff and control the enemies with their kits. Furthermore, Sayu can heal and deal additional damage.

Xiao is the main DPS of this comp, with plunge attacks dealing wide AOE Anemo DMG. This team builds around Xiao's Elemental Burst, which allows him to do consecutive plunge attacks. Sayu serves as a battery, allowing Xiao to use his Elemental Burst as soon as possible.

Chongyun’s Elemental Skill (requires C2) lower CDs of Xiao's Elemental Burst. He also deals extra Cryo damage backstage.

Zhongli is the flex pick of the team. His sturdy shield allows players to fight constantly without having to worry about HP.

Build Xiao — Xiao is the most powerful Anemo DPS who can carry the team by himself.

Xiangling’s Elemental Burst provides a huge amount of DMG and continuous Pyro element attachment for Sayu to trigger Anemo Swirl. Bennett provides the whole team with Pyro Resonance and healing when needed. Players can replace Bennett with a Cryo enabler like Kaeya for Melt damage triggers.

Xiangling is just the best-in-slot Pyro support, providing off-field damage for reactions from Sayu. She also unlocks Pyro resonance for extra damage. Fischl is off-field support who provides a bit of extra damage and Overload reaction.
