After almost half a decade, it seems that developer Yak & Co. has finally decided to launch the last episode of its fantastic point-and-click adventure game Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise. We said “It seems” because, true to its tradition, Yak & Co. didn’t just outright make a clear statement. Instead, the studio has given fans a puzzle to solve if they want to reveal the big news. The puzzle was shared on Yak & Co.’s Twitter account last week, and we’ve included a picture of it below for you to try to figure it out for yourself if you like. The answer will be revealed in the next paragraph of this article, so be careful not to spoil it for yourself.
As you can see, there are 2 rows of random letters and a grid. The solution is quite simple, really: The upper row of letters represents the vertical axis of the grid, while the lower row is for the horizontal axis. You only need to find the conjunction point of those two to find the letter you need. So for example, the first letter of the upper row is “H” and of the lower row is “Z”, so if you look at where the H-horizontal and Z-vertical lines meet, you’ll find the letter “G”, and so on.
Following those steps, you’ll eventually get a combination of letters that reads “guaeninowt”, which… still doesn’t make sense. There’s another layer to that: You have to read it backward, in which case it becomes “twonineaug”. Seems clearer now? Two-nine-Aug, or the 29th of August! That’s when the final chapter of Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise, titled “The Final Blow", will arrive.
This chapter was originally scheduled to launch last year, but the developer later wanted to port the game to PC and consoles in completed form, hence the delay. In any case, the PC and console releases will be a full launch with all chapters, and the existing mobile versions on Android and iOS will get Chapter 5 for free via an update. All this should take place on August 29, so mark the date!
