Dead Zed is an upcoming zombie shooter game for mobile based on the web game series of the same title. According to publisher Not Dopler, the original web games have accumulated a total of more than 50 million plays. The premise of this static FPS is simple: You play as an average citizen protecting their home against the zombie onslaught coming from the streets or the woods nearby with whatever weapons available. Your task is to try to survive for as many days as possible, with the horde of undead getting stronger and stronger every day.
Honestly, though, this game is a pretty intriguing one for us. At first glance, we thought it was some kind of AR game, as the weapons and the hands wielding them look incredibly realistic – it was weird. Check out the trailer below to see what we mean:
In any case, this mobile port promises to add plenty of new content, including 40 new zombie-infested locations for you to fight your way through. There is a pretty wide range of options when it comes to what weapons you want to use, but you can only bring 2 of them into each level. In total, you’ll gain access to 14 different weapons throughout the game, including an assault rifle, a shotgun, a revolver, and even a submachine gun and more. As you progress, you can also upgrade them to increase their power as well.
Dead Zed is currently available for pre-registration on Google Play, so Android users who are interested can head over there to check it out right now. The game is also promised to be coming to iOS later, although we don’t have an exact release date for either version just yet. We do know that it’s going to be a free release, so you can expect IAPs to be present.
