Recently, Larian Studios has proudly announced that they are currently working the development and publication of Baldur’s Gate III for Stadia and PC. Larian Studios has long been in cooperation with Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons & Dragons team to create Baldur’s Gate III. They use the current D&D spells and mechanics to develop this new game. It will also be the next chapter in the storyline of the whole series.
The developer also said that they would overcome the limits of the game's genre to offer an unprecedented rich narrative in this new title. In this narrative, there will be a lot of important decisions, memorable combat, unique side characters, and lots of player freedom. It will be the most significant production of Larian Studios ever which will offer both single-player modes and playing with friends mode

In the trailer, we see the evil presence returns to Baldur's Gate, it wants to devour it from the inside, and corrupt all in Forgotten Realms.
On your own, you can only resist, but with others, you could overcome it. So gather up your party.
Swen Vincke
Larian Studios' Creative Director Swen Vincke said that the Baldur's Gate has a massive amount of fans and it means a lot to people. So he thinks it is a big responsibility to create this game. Though, he believes that Larian Studios is ready.
Swen Vincke also commented that they are working to create systemic and reactive worlds that will respect the agency of the player. That will also allow their team to use their skill set in the massive universe of Dungeons & Dragons. They also work together with Wizards to deliver a never seen before immersion level to Faerun's realm. He also couldn't wait to show us what has the team completed.
