There will be a free-to-play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare next year?
From the beta dates to bloodthirsty Tamagotchis, we have heard a lot about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, the information about the battle royale mode, which is the most expected one is still not public yet. This indefinite action of developer Infinity Ward is making the players' eager bigger and bigger, especially after the success of Blackout in last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
There were rumors to be a new game on releasing earlier this year. However, LongSensation didn't say the same. YouTuber LongSensation was precisely the man who leaked the name Modern Warfare before itself. He also spoke on Twitter that the game will be separate but still in connection with the core game.
What if this rumor comes true?
This rumor suggests that they will put the game along with the Modern Warfare in the upcoming reboot. The notable point is that the game is not going to be an update release but a free-to-play version. It promises to exploit a range of potential players with this version.
As you know, publisher Activision previously locked access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered as part of a special edition of 2016's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Therefore, if the rumor comes true, this would be the positive turn for Activision. As foretelling, Treyarch has already held several free-to-play weekends for Blackout. This was such a good chance for the players who wanted to become full-time ones.
That's just what we have been supposing. Infinity Ward has still kept battle royale for Modern Warfare. Perhaps Modern Warfare could be secretly working well in the mode before its official announcement. They also think that Modern Warfare will be public after the game's release in October. However, if the claims of LongSensation come true, we might see Captain Price and Soap McTavish parachute into Nuketown early next year. When there is something new, we promise to give you the most up-to-date information.
